Aspen is what everyone is looking for! She’s got the brains, athleticism, training, personality, safety, experience…AND COLOR! She is truly the entire package wrapped up in one absolutely gorgeous buckskin body. On the ground she is gentle, respectful and absolutely loves attention. Zero vices I have witnessed and enjoyable to be around. She is currently turned out with another mare, and has been ridden and tied around other geldings and mares with zero Marish tendencies. She is UTD and ready to go on adventures!
I personally have ridden Aspen in the ring and on the trails both on and off property. She is SO easy to get along with, I have put multiple level riders on her with zero hesitation. She will adjust accordingly and go at whichever pace her rider prefers. She is really well broke in the bridle and will shape up and move off of leg beautifully, but you can also throw the reins away and ride like a total dope and she won’t even bat an eyelash. I let a friend of mine who is an amazing trainer ride her on a hunter pace and she had a blast on her! Leading, following, under highway bridges, over wooden bridges, past tons of runners and bicycles, through water, next to vehicles and over small fences/natural jumps. Aspen is a TRUE point her nose and go type of horse.
She rides the exact same both English and western, she has no preference to tack and is happy to do whatever you wish. She has a beautiful ground covering (and extremely comfortable) canter/lope. And a trot you can post or sit all day long. She absolutely loves the word “whoa” and is right in the middle of being a kick ride / forward ride. Super uncomplicated and really really fun to work with. She is the same horse with time off, she actually came to me after being fresh off the pasture for the winter and never placed a foot wrong. At her age I would love to see her with a consistent program/someone who wants to use her and take her on adventures. There are so many disciplines she would thrive in, but I could really see her as a nice dressage or huntseat horse that could win a show one day and go on a 7 mile trail ride the next. She loads, stands single tied to the trailer or cross ties in the barn, clips, and bathes.
Shes a unicorn! So proud to have her in my barn and offer her for sale. It’s the perfect time of year to buy a good one like this and hit the trails!
