Duke had two important masses removed in a carefully coordinated procedure—an eyelid mass and a pigmented oral mass that turned out to be a rare, less aggressive form of melanoma. 🩺

Since he was also due for a dental, Dr. Reinstein and our Smyrna team used the opportunity to care for everything in a single visit—avoiding multiple procedures and helping Duke recover more comfortably. ✨

He’s now feeling great, his eye is healing beautifully, and his prognosis is strong. We’ll continue monitoring with chest X-rays at his next Wellness Plan visit, but we’re thrilled with how well he’s doing so far! 🧡

Last week we welcomed to our Good Dog Veterinary Care DVM team Dr. Cierra Dunham. Today we’re sharing a little bit more about Dr. Dunham so you can get to know her better! 🩺🐾

A proud Double Dawg, Dr. Dunham completed both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Georgia—and yes, she’s a BIG Dawgs fan!

With a compassionate nature, Dr. Dunham brings a thoughtful perspective and unwavering passion for veterinary medicine to our practice, fulfilling her lifelong calling to the field. She has a special interest in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, and client education. 🐶

Whether she’s guiding your Good Dog through a procedure or answering your questions with care, Dr. Dunham is all about building trust and creating a low-stress experience for everyone involved. 💛

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her soaking up the sunshine with her Doberman, Aurora—enjoying the simple joys of life with a Good Dog by her side. ☀️🐕

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming two amazing future veterinarians to Good Dog Veterinary Care! 💛

Future Dr. Ramey joined us in West Cobb for an externship, while Future Dr. Stone spent time shadowing our DVM team in East Cobb. Both brought a passion for learning and a heart for caring for Good Dogs that left a lasting impression!

We’re so excited to see where their journeys take them—and we’re honored to have played a small part in their paths to becoming veterinarians! 🐾

Willow, a precious 1-year-old Havanese, came to see Dr. Boyce and our West Cobb team for some concerning signs of a possible UTI. She had a previous history, so Dr. Boyce jumped into action with a full urinalysis and culture—starting with ultrasound and a guided sterile urine collection. 🧪

Each step of the way, our team carefully processed and analyzed her sample. This time, all her results came back normal—no bacteria, no crystals, no signs of infection. But her family was proactive, and while we awaited the culture results, she was started on a short course of antibiotics. 🩺

A few days later? Her symptoms resolved completely, and the medication was stopped. UTIs don’t always follow a perfect script, but our diagnostic tools help us get as clear a picture as possible—so we can make the best decisions for your Good Dog! 💛

Meet Colby, a sweet 1-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix who visited us with vomiting, not eating, and straining to p**p. X-rays revealed a sock stuck in his small intestine!

Thanks to Dr. Warner’s skilled hands and our West Cobb team, Colby underwent a successful exploratory laparotomy and is now back to his playful self. His family is thrilled, and we’re so glad we could help him bounce back!

Good Dog Veterinary Care is Georgia’s first and only “all-dog” veterinary practice. Dr. Patrick Singletary, lead veterinarian and owner, loves practicing dog-only veterinary medicine, and he enjoys sharing his dog expertise with the West Cobb community. We pride ourselves in providing individualized care for dogs and being dog experts. Good Dog Veterinary Care provides premium veterinary care to dogs while educating owners on the best wellness plans to help their dog live their best “Good Dog” life. Good Dog Veterinary Care is a full-service veterinary hospital, specializing in wellness and preventative care. Dr. Singletary oversees all aspects of a dog’s veterinary health from the puppy stage through senior care. Good Dog Veterinary Care offers wellness plans which allows clients to provide premium care to their dog with easy to manage monthly payments. The wellness plans include annual visits, dental cleaning, comprehensive labwork, vaccines, X-rays, and parasite preventatives. Dr. Singletary enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially surgery, dentistry, and educating owners on the intricacies of their own dog.

Good Dog Veterinary Care is the premier “all-dog” veterinary practice in the Southeast, and the only veterinary facility of its kind in the state of Georgia. Good Dog Veterinary Care officially opened in Fall 2019.

Dr. Singletary is a Marietta resident and a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing veterinary medicine in Cobb County since graduating from Veterinary School, and he has dreamed of owning his own practice since he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian as a child. In his free time, you can find Dr. Singletary and his wife Natalie cheering on the Dawgs in Athens or enjoying time Lake Rabun with their German Shorthair Pointer Mix, Lilly.
