🐾 OUR RESCUE PARTNERS NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾

Our rescue partners are facing a shortage of foster homes and adopters, and that shortage is having a ripple effect on homeless pets in our community.

At PUPS, we care for animals who are waiting for their owners to come looking for them. When they aren't reclaimed, our rescue partners step up to give them a second chance. ❤️ But right now, many rescues simply don't have enough foster homes or adopters to take in the pets who need them.

This is where YOU can make a difference.

🏠 Can you foster?
Opening your home temporarily to a pet can be the bridge between a shelter kennel and a forever home. You provide a safe place to land while a rescue works to find their perfect match.

❤️ Can you adopt?
Giving a homeless pet a permanent home opens a spot for another animal who desperately needs help.

🚨 SCAM ALERT FOR PET OWNERS 🚨

A new scam is targeting families with missing pets using AI-generated photos.

Scammers may contact you claiming your pet has been found at a veterinary clinic, emergency hospital, or shelter. They often send a photo that appears to show your pet injured or receiving medical care and demand immediate payment for treatment before you can be reunited.

⚠️ Red flags to watch for:
• They pressure you to pay immediately.
• They refuse to let you speak directly with the clinic.
• They ask for payment through gift cards, payment apps, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers.
• The photo looks unusual, distorted, or doesn't quite match your pet.
• They contacted you after seeing your lost pet post online.

✅ Before sending any money:
• Ask for the name, address, and phone number of the facility.
• Hang up and contact the clinic directly using a phone number you find yourself.
• Request additional photos or a live video call.
• Verify that your pet is actually there before making any payment.

Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, but a legitimate veterinary clinic or shelter will understand your need to verify the situation.

If your pet is missing, stay alert and share this warning with friends and family. Your urgency to find your pet is exactly what scammers are counting on.

🐾 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Rescue Partners! 🐾

The first half of 2026 has been an incredible testament to what we can accomplish when we work together.

Because of the dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts of our amazing rescue partners, 175 pets have been given a second chance at life during the first six months of the year. ❤️

Every animal transferred represents a life changed—a dog or cat that now has the opportunity to receive the individualized care, medical treatment, foster home, and forever family they deserve.

Your willingness to step up, often on short notice and even while facing challenges of your own, makes an immeasurable difference for the animals in our care. We truly couldn't do this without you.

We received a call that a black cat wearing a harness has been found, and we believe it was potentially micro chipped at our vaccine clinic.
Sadly, the microchip was not registered so we are hoping to reach the owner through social media.
