PUPS is looking for a creative volunteer to make short videos (with music!) that showcase the amazing dogs and cats in need of rescue transfer.

🐾 Work is remote—no need to come to the shelter.
🐾 We’ll send you the photos and video clips.
🐾 You’ll add music and edit into a fun, eye-catching video (under 3 minutes).
🐾 Final video is due back within 24 hours.

Meet Deacon – Former Park Fixture, Future Couch Cuddler

Once tied to an electrical pole in a park (we assume he was trying to charge his zoomies), Deacon is now ready to plug into your heart and short-circuit your loneliness.

This boy is pure joy on four legs—a goofy, wiggly, people-loving bundle of tail wags and puppy energy. He’s basically a living cartoon: bouncy, playful, and always down for a good time. Tennis balls? Yes. Squeaky toys? Absolutely. Random sticks that definitely aren’t toys but now totally are? 100%.

Deacon crushed his dog test like a champ—he greeted his canine buddy with full-body wiggles and the enthusiasm of a golden retriever at a BBQ. He’s got big “life of the party” energy and an even bigger heart.

Now he’s looking for a foster home where he can stretch his legs, chase some toys, and soak up all the love he so clearly deserves. He’s sweet, silly, and possibly part kangaroo. (Seriously. The bounce is real.)

Hi, I’m Brisket — a big ol’ goofball with a heart full of love and a brain that sometimes forgets how large my body is!

I’m what the humans call a “meathead,” which I’m pretty sure means charming, playful, and maybe a little clumsy. I absolutely LOVE people, pets, snacks, and playtime. I’ve got energy to burn and enthusiasm for days — just watch out when I get the zoomies!

I’m still working on my manners (turns out jumping on new friends isn’t always the best hello), but I’m super food motivated and really want to be a good boy. If you’ve got treats and patience, we’ll be best buds in no time.

The shelter’s not really my scene — I’d much rather be learning how to “dog” in a cozy home with someone who gets my goofy vibe. So… think you’ve got space on your couch and in your heart for a lovable lug like me? Let’s do this!

Not long ago, I was wandering alone — skinny, itchy, and not feeling my best. My fur was patchy, I smelled pretty rough, and I hadn’t had a kind word or a full belly in a long time. But even then, I never stopped hoping someone would see past all that and give me a chance.
And guess what? Someone finally did.
Now, I’m safe — but I still need something really special: a foster home where I can heal, rest, and remember what it feels like to be part of a family.
Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m a sweet and gentle soul. I love to play, I know how to sit like a good boy, and I take my treats like a true gentleman. I might be a little rough around the edges right now, but I promise — with some TLC, I’ll shine.

Kombucha has been with us for 45 DAYS AND IS CONSIDERED URGENT!!

He would really love to get out to a foster home.

But now that he's safe, his gentle spirit is starting to shine through. This handsome boy has the most expressive brown eyes that seem to ask for just one thing: kindness.

Kombucha has a docked tail that wags shyly when he greets you, and while the shelter staff adore him, it's clear he's still feeling overwhelmed. The noisy environment and stress have taken a toll—he's having some tummy troubles and would truly benefit from a quiet, loving space where he can relax, heal, and remember what it feels like to just be a dog.

He’s already showing how affectionate and friendly he can be, and we know he'll blossom even more in a calm foster home.
