8/26 Update on Miss Adventure - she is still in need of rescue placement. She went to the vet and had x-rays taken. She was put on an antibiotic and pain meds for now. Here is the final report from the radiologist: Copy of vet report in comments

PUPs have an approximately 6-month-old kitten who came in over the weekend and is limping/mostly non-weight-bearing on a hind leg, with swelling around her tarsal joint.

The city has approved her for immediate release for medical care, so we’re hoping one of our rescue partners may have the ability to help her out today.

🖤 Meet Grumble Von Floof 🖤
Grumble Von Floof made quite the entrance into our care! Found wandering in a local park, an officer approached and simply set down a crate. Grumble promptly walked right inside — as if to say, “Fine, I’ll go with you.”

Unfortunately, once Grumble arrived at the shelter and discovered there were other cats nearby, the mood changed dramatically. Grumble has decided that the safest place in the world is the back of the den and now spends most of the time hiding there. If we attempt to approach, Grumble is quick to remind us with hisses and swats that personal space is VERY important.

We have not been able to safely verify Grumble's gender because, frankly, Grumble is not currently accepting visitors.

We believe this frightened, overwhelmed floof may do much better in a quiet, patient rescue environment where they can decompress away from the sights, sounds, and stress of a busy impound facility. Given the right setting and plenty of time, we're hopeful there is a much softer personality hiding underneath all that grumbling.

Grumble Von Floof is seeking transfer to one of our rescue partners who can give this nervous kitty the time, patience, and peaceful environment needed to come out of their shell.

Don’t let the name fool you—this handsome grey boy is sweet, friendly, and ready to leave his creepy-crawly days behind! Count Botula recently had a bot fly larva removed and is healing nicely. He’s doing well and is looking for a rescue partner who can give him the continued care, love, and attention he deserves while he finishes his recovery.

Count Botula has a wonderful personality and is happy to show off just how lovable he is. We’d love to see this little guy move into a rescue setting where he can continue to heal and eventually find the forever home he deserves.

Meet Edith Marmalade! 🧡🤍

Edith Marmalade is a sweet older lady who is looking for a rescue partner to help her find a quieter place to call home. She is friendly but understandably shy in our busy, noisy shelter environment. We suspect Edith is already spayed, although we don't have confirmation.

We think this lovely orange tabby girl would really benefit from a calm environment where she can decompress, feel safe, and show off her true personality. Once she's away from all the barking, activity, and commotion, we suspect Edith will blossom into the wonderful companion she was meant to be.

Edith is seeking placement with one of our approved rescue partners who can give this sweet senior girl the time, patience, and peaceful environment she deserves. 🧡

Meet Loosey & Goosey! URGENT MEDICAL!!!

These two little ones may have earned their names the hard way, but they certainly haven't let their rough start stop them from being sweet and friendly.

Loosey and Goosey have been in our care since 8/21 and, while they have shown some slight improvement, they are still severely underweight and dealing with significant diarrhea that unfortunately seems to run right out of them, leaving them in a constant cycle of needing baths.

Despite feeling awful and being covered in their own mess on a daily basis, both kittens are incredibly friendly and enjoy interacting with people.

They've made some progress while with us, but they need more medical care and support than we're able to provide in our facility.

We're hoping one of our rescue partners can step up to get these little ones the continued veterinary care they need to determine the cause of their ongoing GI issues, help them gain some much-needed weight, and get them feeling like normal kittens again.

We're hoping one of our rescue partners can step up for this dynamic duo and give them the medical care, TLC, and clean laundry they desperately need!

Loosey & Goosey are looking for a rescue to say, “Yep, we can handle the poop.”

Meet Mr. Puffles! 🧡🐾

Mr. Puffles is a handsome orange tabby with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This super-friendly guy came to us with noticeable swelling on his face, so we made sure he was seen by a veterinarian. He was started on antibiotics, and the swelling is suspected to potentially be related to a tooth infection.

Despite not feeling his best, Mr. Puffles has been an absolute sweetheart and is eager to make friends with everyone he meets. 🥰 He is now looking for a rescue partner who can continue his care, get to the bottom of his dental issue, and help this lovable guy find the comfortable forever home he deserves.
