Mission K9 Rescue is a non-profit organization that rescues and rehomes retired military and working dogs, including those from police forces.

The Military Working Dog Adoption Program, managed by the 37th Training Wing, offers retired military working dogs for adoption. Before adopting a too friendly and retired working dog, consider their temperament and behavior, as well as their health and medical needs.

The adoption process can be competitive, with priority given to former handlers or law enforcement personnel. Adopting a retired working dog can be rewarding, but it's crucial to be prepared for the unique challenges and responsibilities.
