We are saddened by the loss of our dear, Marv.
💔
One September day, 10 years ago, two big grey Percerons showed up at Forward Farm. Marv and Char, brother and sister. They were previously amish workhorses.
Purchased at an auction picked out by a friend.
🐴
Marv soon learned his new job, bringing joy to hundreds of new equestrians.
He learned to ride and joined in teaching lessons.
⭐️
Marv became steady, forgiving, relaxed , the best lesson horse we could have wished for!
🥕
We are greatful Marv, who was named after late Marvin Schinktgen landed at Forward Farm. We cherish the memories.
🙏
Our hearts are broken, but we know Marv is pain free, eating all the good stuff up where saintly horses roam.
❤️🐴
Please share your pictures and memories of Marv we know there are many.
😊

Today we celebrate Lisa. 🎉

She has been a part of the farm since she was 12 years old.
She started taking riding lessons with me at De Equus stable, the farm we started at when Forward Farm was a vision.🎬

With years of work in and out of the saddle she became a beautiful rider and skilled horsewoman.👏

She graduated college and decided she would continue full time at Forward Farm. How lucky we are!🍀

Next Lisa worked on developing her skills teaching group riding lessons. She learned to control the arena like it's her own circus.😁 Not an easy task...

We are proud to announce that Lisa has earned her certificate as a registered PATH international instructor! She will continue to lead lessons as she has in the past with new knowledge and a deeper understanding of special needs.❤️

Lisa is an excellent teacher, explaining horse behavior and riding technique in a simple easy way to learn.
She thinks of the horse first and truly speaks for them.🐴
We are honored for her to lead our Dream Team!
