Don't let that sweet baby face fool you!

Seba is the kind of guy that you see just looking for stuff to help with.

I'll often find him outside working on something and when I ask if someone asked him to do it his answer is always "no, I just wanted to".

He's such a big help around the farm! And he's become my newest travel buddy! When I go to pickup chicks or animals he's happy to ride along, even when it's 4 hours away!

Seriously, if you haven't had an exchange student, give it a try! They always end up blessing you just as much as you bless them with the opportunity!

Long post ahead but it is worth every word! Local businesses need you now more than ever! I've been seeing a rashes of closing businesses posts lately and cannot help to think we could do more to help. Shopping with and visiting small businesses helps tremendously. But you may not realize how much you can do in seconds for FREE! I make a point to check out local pages and interact as much as I can. The more interactions a post has, the more it will be seen. And the business may even be getting paid via Facebook for their content!

How else can you help?

•Post review on local pages - many cities have restaurant pages
•Share posts you like

Waterfront Wine Bar - Manitowoc- What can I say? My home away from home 😂 FANTASTIC food menu! We have sold out quite a few workshops here and the staff is always hustling to feed us all! Check out their page to see what your missing. I can only imagine it gets more fun in the summer on the water!

The Nook - Manitowoc - I'll be there for them first time this weekend and cannot wait! It is a bookstore and Mocktail lounge! What more can you want?

Bullwinkles at the Galleria - Brookfield - My son and I went and tried a bunch of things - Customer service was amazing and the overall rating was 4.9 (Yes we have a restaurant rating system 😂😂)

LushLOUNGE - Sheboygan - This is a lounge with amazing vibes. They offer refreshers with their specialty ice cubes, and they are now serving craft milkshakes! You have to check out their page to understand the decadance! We got specialty cubes for a party and they were a huge hit! The kiddie cocktail ones are our favorites

Fun weekly events and food (some are food trucks) Check your local one out. Some have beaches and playgrounds for the kids. Most also have outdoor games such as bags and giant Jenga and Connect Four. All have amazing drinks with a fun summer vibe!

Wild & Precious Boutique & Collective - I believe they have locations in Grafton and Cedarburg

Vintage Brick - Venue & Events - Kewaunee- indoor event soace with a large outdoor area as well!

Cool City Brewing Company - Two Rivers- We have sold out quite a few workshops here. We start in the morning with amazing coffee drinks and they always help me order since I do not generally Coffee 😂 Then the real fun starts at 11 when the bar and lunch menu open!

Country Inn & Suites by Choice Hotels, Ft. Atkinson, WI - The hotel you know and love but with a twist that they are scheduling community events - how cool is that?

BSG Coffee and Cocktails Lounge - Grafton - the name pretty much says it all! BSG (Bottle Shop of Grafton) is a lounge that focuses on providing a social environment and serving coffee, craft beers, cocktails, and spirits.

Beer Bazaar Bottle Shop & Taproom - Grayslake, IL - A HUGE selection of beers on tap plus a fully stocked variety of to go options from beer to craft soda to seltzers and much more!

5 Bines Brewery - Belvidere, IL - Local microbrewery and taproom offering craft beer and sodas. I already know I will love it here because they are awesome at sharing events (which they have some great ones coming up) Plus I'm a sucker for craft sodas 😂

Manitowoc Street Pub - Reedsville - A hometown atmosphere serving up food specials and cold beer!

BLACK CANYON COFFEE - Wales- Family/Women owned and inclusive. Serving Colectivo Coffee & locally sourced ingredients.

Rusty Nail Saloon - Ringwood, IL - Great menu! The hand breaded chicken tenders are a favorite and I have to bring some home for my oldest whenever I'm there :-)

Delta Beer Lab - Fitchburg- Craft brewery in Madison WI, expanding community through quality, local beer without barriers to gender, race, or sexual orientation. When I'm far from home I cannot always drink the "good stuff" But I loved trying each of their craft sodas when I was there last!

Timber Hill Winery - Milton - Wines and wine cocktails and to die for pizza among many other things!

Uncorkt Wine All You Want! - Racine - Wine and Craft Beer retail store with wine and beer, liquor, accessories, and a tasting bar. Banquet room available for rental on the second floor, wheelchair accessible.

Sheryl's Club 175 - Slinger - where there's no strangers just friends you haven't met yet ! I loved their extensive menu! I went on a Tuesday and the tacos were amazing!

Good Works Brewing Co. - Milton - Good People. Good Beer. Good Works. I loved this place! You can order food from a restaurant down the street delivered right to your table. Board games available for family fun

Sprecher Taproom Sprecher Brewery - Glendale- My love for Sprecher is STRONG! I am so excited for my workshop in the taproom!

The Loop Commons - Burlington - Located in the historic heart of Burlington, The Loop Commons will include a coworking space, private offices, a conference room, a photo studio, a podcast studio, (all available for rent), an indoor climbing gym and a coffee roaster!

The Grün Hexe - West Bend - Cozy restaurant in West Bend offering quick service lunch, dinner and catering with a fun earthy vibe!

Buzz's - Buzz’s in Freedom serves great food and drinks in a fun, casual atmosphere. Open daily at 11:00

Did you know?

Chicken math is a real thing. But there's another aspect of chickens that isn't talked about as much.

What is it, you ask?

My cousin and I call it "Chasing the Rainbow". And for us it's even more of a thing than actual chicken math.

Who can guess what we mean by "Chasing the Rainbow"?

Here's a hint! These are my newest chick additions! They're Moss Eggers and they lay deep green eggs. I've been after these for some time now and finally got them!

feathered.acres and I are just about chick bffs by now, whether she knows it or not. Lol This is my 3rd batch from them and can I just say, her chicks are amazing! She's also where I got my hatching eggs from. 7 more days on them! 🤗

Ya'll ready to see one of the cutest things EVVVEEERRR!?!

Check out this developing hatching egg! I can't even handle the cuteness! 🤗😍🥰🥹

I'm almost as excited as when I first saw my kids ultrasounds!

So stinking adorable! I can't wait to meet them! 7 more days!

Also, I am quite proud of myself for reading some of the eggs correctly! There were 8 of the 41 that I thought weren't good. 7 unfertilized and one blood ring. So I decided to crack them open to check. And sure enough I was spot on!

There are some that are difficult to see through and may not be good. So I'm REALLY praying they don't explode!

Last week we had a Party Barn rental that was so neat I just have to share!

This family gathers with a LARGE number of extended family for Easter and had outgrown their personal homes for hosting. They came to tour the Party Barn and booked for their special day.

They weren't kidding when they said they go all out for this event! They had about 2000 eggs they hid around the property, a professional photographer, games, raffles, and even the Easter Bunny!

I hope to see more families do events like this here on the farm! They had a great time, made lots of great memories, and were able to enjoy their event with plenty of space to be comfortable!

THIS is one of the types of rentals I hoped to see when we first thought about offering our space!

Way back when I was growing up we had huge gatherings and I've got such wonderful memories that I'll cherish for the rest of my life! Families don't gather like they used to. And often times it's because they don't have the space.

We're hoping to help bring those big gatherings back so families can make those lasting memories! We strive to make our area family friendly, convenient and comfy so you can come together and enjoy this space with your loved ones!
