A FREE Shelter Event for Kids!
Kids will learn how to safely interact with dogs, prevent bites and what to do if a strange dog approaches them. They will have the opportunity to practice how to safely pet a real puppy. We will also cover how kids can protect themselves if the situation arises. A hot dog supper will be provided following the class.
What: Bite Prevention and Dog Safety for Kids Class
When: September 12 at 5:45PM
Where: Cedar Grove Church
Registration required – space is limited. For kids ages 4 -12 yrs. Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

As much as I would love to continue helping dogs, their families and the dogs from the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter, the decision to retire from dog training has become necessary. A heartfelt thank you to all that entrusted me with training you and your furry friends. Advice and help through messages and phone calls will still be available. It has been an honor helping dogs from our shelter find homes and it has been a pleasure getting to know all of you and your faithful, furry companions!

Daily dose of Indica! Today after a walk and some training sessions she enjoyed her first pup cup from the Gladstone Dairy Flo!
She’s loving having time out of the shelter and will be so thrilled to have her furever home hopefully soon!❤️🐾

My Story

I love working with dogs. It's a joy to teach them their basic manners, fun tricks, how to go over ramps and jumps, through tunnels and weave poles. I have studied dog behavior and dog training for over 8 years. I have learned from the following trainers: Pat Miller, Ian Dunbar, Grisha Stewart, Karen Pryor, Susan Garrett, Mary Ellen Barry and Gerilyn Bielakiewicz, The Good Dog, Solid K9 Training and Julie’s K9 Academy. I have worked with 8 different professional trainers learning valuable techniques. I also train the dogs at the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter to help them find their forever homes. It warms my heart to see the dogs learn their manners and watch them meet their new family. Training sessions and classes are available at Northern Tails Pet Resort or in-home private lessons.
