Ebba is in immediate need to be re-homed. This is a home to home placement she is not at the shelter. This girl is completely vetted, and has been raised with kids since being rescued. Unfortunately there is a serious family medical event that is on going. She is in the Petoskey area but the concerned owner will transport as time permits. Serious inquiries only. Ebba is a snuggler and loves to play and cuddle. Please help this family out.

Ebba is a curious, smart, athletic, and loving female (spayed) pittie. She initially came to us a sick, injured, and pregnant neighborhood stray. We think she is probably 4 - 5 years old now. She’d been bought off a social media post, but her needs were too great and she was continually released into the neighborhood. We found her in our yard one April evening, and kept her with us overnight. Pregnant, sick, and injured, we decided to take her in and work with our local vet and animal control to care for her and her puppies.
With Ebba we welcomed and rehomed 11 (yes eleven!) healthy pitbull puppies. Then came many months of treating Ebba’s gastrointestinal infestation, torn ACL, and getting her spayed. She has been professionally cared for by our vet, who we worked with closely (ACL surgically repaired, gut healthy, all up to date on shots and the “usual” dog care - flea/tick/heartworm). She is now one very healthy and sweet pittie who loves her people. Snuggles and kisses are everyday events she looks forward to. She lives in our home, sleeps with my kids, and plays with one of her now adult puppies. We do have one other small dog in our home that Ebba was very friendly with (puppies changed dynamic some, she tolerates him well but I keep an eye on things and I do not leave them alone). However, because of her health conditions she has not had an opportunity to meet other dogs and needs work with that skillset. A home without other dogs and a fenced yard would be ideal, she loves to run (and will bolt at times if given the opportunity).
We have been honored to care for Ebba and want her to find the best place to settle into the rest of her life. I am a single mom with three kids, one disabled. We all share the same genetic disorder that is becoming harder to manage and is taking its toll on my family, our home, and our finances. I am committed to Ebba’s health and happiness and will gladly offer transportation for her to come meet other pittie loving folks. She is one very special dog.
