This past weekend, some of our barn members had the privilege of attending a clinic conducted by Gerd Heuschmann. To those who are unfamiliar with him, he is a world-renowned expert in equine biomechanics. He adheres to classical principles that emphasize correct and ethical techniques for physical and mental development.

Especially in young horses, classical principles are crucial in providing a solid foundation for lifelong soundness. These classical techniques are decidedly more deliberate and methodical than many modern approaches, which often prioritize expediency and financial gain over horse welfare.

All stages of horses and experience levels of riders will benefit from emphasizing forwardness, straightness, balance and lightness. Although these adjectives are often pushed to the margins in favor of competition results. The horse trained slowly and correctly will always be successful, and will live a longer more mentally and physically healthy life.

We honorably focus on these values here at Full Circle, in our program with young horses, competition horses and project horses.

Kristen and Ludovico P.D. had a fabulous time last week at Old Salem Farm FEI 4*/2 *

The team earned a respectable six place out of 38 in the competitive 1.20 m class. Thank you, Peter Leone for your expertise and guidance.

This past week was filled with two great shows.
At the competitive HITS IV, Ludovido PD and King Cavalier both gained great mileage in their step up divisions of the 1.20 and 1.10 respectively. We enjoyed the difficulty of courses that challenges that the show presents !

We returned home to attend Mystic Valley Hunt Club .
Natalie Reinhardt and Chance of A Lifetime earned reserve champion in the Adult Equitation division . Beth Bracken an her As You Wish also earned great ribbons including a second over fences in the same division .
Olivia Kalmar and her Flying Dutchman came to play in the warm-ups and also showing some flat classes with a second in the modified adult Hunter under saddle.
Diktators Giovanni V , owned by AV Equestrian competed in his first classs in the intro jumper division. Marching into the ring like a big boy and making his owners proud . This 4 year old is mature beyond his years and will make a wonderful partner for any ring !

We had a wonderful time last weekend at the Folly Farm horse show. Miles Skurkis and his King Cavalier took home a pair of second places in the USHJA jumpseat and the NEHC medal qualifying him for both finals.!

Thank you to all who participated in our final show of our open series this past Sunday. The weather worked out in our favor, and we all had a great day. Thank you to all of our supporting Barn members who help make a show a success. And also to Rockwell Farm and Four Winds Farm for always supporting our shows as well. We really appreciate you!
