Dogs are simple they view you as their leader or they assume that role if you can’t provide the structure, rules, rewards and corrections when need be. Your daily interactions with your dog either build a dog that you are happy with or a dog that frustrates and stresses you out.

My 6 month old Pup Ice doing a object Search. I like to vary the items he searches for so that he understands he has to hunt out whatever I present to him. As a working dog it’s important that he exercises his instincts and genetics. It’s my job to guide his genetics so that he is mentally and physically satisfied. As a potential police dog candidate we work on everything necessary to keep his hunt drive and desire strong. I’m an overall balanced dog trainer, you can’t just work on one thing and expect the dog to reach full potential. What you work on I. The earlier stages of the pups life is super important in the development of the dog.

My Boy Ice 🧊 Working Out. 6 months old and handling the bite suit well. Deep full grips. He is maturing nicely. Being a bull herder they mature like fine wine 🍷. The more you allow them to slowly grow the more you get out of them.

Resource guarding aggression is a common behavior to see in dogs. When you see it in young pups like this especially at the level of aggression this puppy exhibits, it’s a huge red flag 🚩. Many puppies who show this behavior at a very young age are put to sleep right away and they are not given second chances. Connecting with the right trainer is so important in getting help with this issue. Most vets don’t have the answers for this and a good portion of them will recommend that your pup be put to sleep. Clear cut communication and structure is upper importance along with consequences. You can just love this behavior out of your dog that doesn’t work.
