Resource guarding aggression is a common behavior to see in dogs. When you see it in young pups like this especially at the level of aggression this puppy exhibits, it’s a huge red flag 🚩. Many puppies who show this behavior at a very young age are put to sleep right away and they are not given second chances. Connecting with the right trainer is so important in getting help with this issue. Most vets don’t have the answers for this and a good portion of them will recommend that your pup be put to sleep. Clear cut communication and structure is upper importance along with consequences. You can just love this behavior out of your dog that doesn’t work.

Great example of hunt drive genetics 🧬 with this dog who ripped apart a car 🚘 just to get a rat 🐀 who was trapped inside. Dogs love to hunt and they get great satisfaction out of it. Give your dog a positive outlet to burn energy or they can engage in things just like you see in the video.

Great clip of a blue Heeler showing its teeth to warn another dog to stay away. The other dog takes the signal and backs off. This is a great example of the importance allowing your dog to learn body language especially when a dog is saying back away. Dogs who don’t understand this will most likely end up in a lot of fights and can be hurt pretty good because of it.

This type of behavior is very young puppies is a red flag 🚩 and should be taken seriously. If this behavior goes unchecked someone will most definitely end up in the hospital. If you have a young pup who shows this dangerous behavior reach out for training ASAP. Don’t put your family at risk being prideful.

Being your dogs Best Friend and being your dogs Leader are two different things. Being the leader means that your dog respects and trusts you. The best friend role just means I can have fun with you but I don’t have to listen or respect you. When a dog thinks that it’s the leader they can often times act in aggression towards you, other people, and other dogs.

Many people have been injured because of this. If you are dealing with this issue then this video is for you try this exercise with your dog.
