At Busy Dog Training, "Force Free training" is more than just a buzzword. We believe in relationship-centered and science-based training that will help you connect with and foster a confident dog.

This means...
- Providing opportunities for consent and choice
- Focusing on addressing the underlying emotions, not just supressing them
- Setting dogs and their handlers up for success
- Prioritizing relationship building, and
- Committing to not using pain or discomfort to force a behavior

Additionally, we strive to help our dogs learn to advocate for themselves while also advocating for them when they can't.

Did you know that both nostrils function separately in dogs, so they can smell two different odours at the same time? This enables them to distinguish whether a smell is coming from the left or the right, depending on which nostril the scent reaches first.

Come help your dog put this instinct to work in our Hybrid Nosework class, and teach your dog how to efficiently search for and locate specific odors.

Each Wednesday for six weeks you’ll receive a lesson plan teaching you how to teach your dog nosework basics. Then, meet us on Thursday evenings for an optional fun search through progressively more complex environments. First lesson will be emailed on June 17th (that's TODAY!), with our first search taking place June 25th at 7:30 p.m. at T & T Pet Care Services (Madison, North).

Class includes a dedicated Facebook group so you can share videos for instructor/classmate feedback throughout the week.

Huge congratulations to our first four Barks and Rec graduates! Over the past 6 weeks, Team Maple, Neddie, Ghost, and Vivian played a variety of challenging training games, designed to put real life skills to the test in a fun and unique manner.

We laughed, we skipped, we limbo-ed, and every team unlocked many new achievements along the way.
