If you're not a typically a Monday or Friday client, you may notice an unfamiliar face either on the camera or at pm pick up. This is Josie. She first started as a volunteer with us last year and has been a part time employee during school but will be picking up some more hours this summer. She's been wonderful to have on our team and we're excited for more folks and dogs to meet her.

NEXT MEETUP this Saturday, June 27th starting at 9 am.

Exciting FREE training opportunity. Many of our dogs struggle with chilling out (sometimes including my own- Dear Lord!!!!) So I will have meetups at the Sun Prairie farmer's market on select Saturday mornings where Duncan's Dog Daycare clients, past or present, can gather to work on dog neutrality and desensitization of the noises, distractions and excitement of public settings. This is a casual group setting where we will ask our dogs to work on down/stay, not greet people or other dogs, and just observe and relax. If your dog needs some movement, then you can work on leash skills and peruse the local vendors and come back to join our group.
I will be walking around the farmer's market with my personal dog a half hour prior to the start time and then we will gather in the center of the park at the benches to work on the neutrality. Bring dog treats and a comfortable towel, mat or something for your dog to lay on.
I will announce the exact time that week whether or not we will be meeting up that saturday (most likely start 8 or 9 am), so be sure to check facebook and your email. There is no need to sign up, just show up.

We have openings for Monday daycare playgroup starting next week. We are suspending the Monday Manners operation but will offer a few private sessions in the afternoon by appointment only. This means, if you have been needing/wanting daycare on Mondays, now is your chance to sign up! We can't wait to see your dogs' happy faces!

Happy Father's Day to all the dog dads, human dads, cat dads and any other type of dads.
My dad has been gone for a couple years now but a fond memory I keep was our shared love to snuggle dogs on the couch.
I hope all the dog dads out there get some snuggle couch time with your favorite dog!

Let's all wish housemates, Daisy and River, a very happy birthday. These beautiful, zesty, energetic souls partied hard today with treats for everyone and a cake to take home. They are going to be pooped tomorrow! Happy birthday girls!
