I am hoping you can help me. Next week, I am leaving to go to the Ukrainian/Polish border to a city called Przemyśl. I’ve been in touch with a veterinarian that has people going to the train stations and abandoned animal shelters in Ukraine and bringing the pets back. My friend Tana Axtelle and I are going over there for about a month to help take care of these animals and do whatever we can to help reduce their stress. Here is a story that was done on CNN about the vet and the shelter we will be working with: A shelter in Poland is rescuing animals displaced by war in Ukraine - CNN And here is where we need help. He has asked me to bring supplies. They have plenty of food, but in particular need medical supplies. I am also taking some bullet proof vests for the staff that is going into Ukraine. There were missile strikes less than 60 miles away from the shelter in the town of Lviv. We leave Edmonds on Monday to fly to Krakow and then take a train to Przemysl. Any medical supplies for animals we can take will be great. If it’s more than we can carry, we can ship them before we leave. Or, if someone wants to send them, please address them to: Dan Fine/Tana Axtelle ADA Foundation Jana Zamoyskiego 15, 37-700 Przemyśl, Poland Thank you so much, Dan Fine 206.227.8894 [email protected]
We appreciate the care that is provided for our furbabies at Lynnwood Banfield's. There are much closer Pet hospitals and Banfield's locations to our north Marysville location, but we will always make the trip for this team. They survey had asked if we wanted to name our tech for kudos, but we could not just name one. We have been with this location for almost 12 years and they have become family. Thank you.
I would have been nice if the staff would have known I wouldn't be allowed in the room when I asked before I got there, these trips are very difficult for me with my health problems.
