The 4th of July is fast approaching! Make sure you and your pets have everything you need for the holiday. Call us today if you need anxiety/sedation medication!

4th of July safety list;
-Make sure your pets microchip information is up-to-date
-Make sure any tags are securely fastened to collars and up to date as well
-Make sure you have enough sedation/anxiety medication if needed
-Walk your dog while it's still light out, before any fireworks might start
-Use the TV or fans to help drown out any noise
-Use enrichment toys to distract anxious pets
-Don't let dogs or cats out at night alone in the back or front yard
-Have a safe and quiet place set up in your home for your anxious pets
-If having a family gathering with food be cautious of what your pet might try to ingest

Here at VCA we do our absolute best to make sure your pets have an enjoyable experience with us, even if they are getting vaccines, which we all know isn't fun.
Every pet is different, so we tailor what we do for each pet to try and be as free fear as possible. Some pets love treats for distractions, so we have all kinds of yummies. Others want physical pets or to be wrapped in warm blanket or towel. Whatever is there preferred method of comfort we note on their chart for future visits.
