If you are looking for an "older" pug (under 5 years old) I know of someone that lives in Louisiana that is downsizing and rehoming 3 of her pugs (both male and females). If you would be interested, please let me know and I will give you her page to reach out to her. Again, she lives in Louisiana and you will need to travel to her to pick up as she has health issues and cannot travel far from home.

Interesting article about waiting to spay and neuter!

Preventing unwanted litters is a goal we all share—but it's time to rethink the surgical approach. Hysterectomies and vasectomies, which preserve hormonal balance, can safely be performed as early as 8 weeks of age, making dogs sterile without disrupting their natural hormones.

In this study, researchers looked at whether the age at which dogs were spayed or neutered, meaning how long they were exposed to their natural s*x hormones, affected how healthy they were in old age. They studied a group of long-lived pet dogs to learn what helps dogs live longer, healthier lives. Dogs with the fewest age-related health problems were considered the most “robust.”

The results showed that both male and female dogs who kept their hormones longer (i.e., were spayed or neutered later) were 3 to 10 times more likely to be healthy in old age compared to those altered earlier. Once hormone exposure and age were taken into account, there was no difference in old-age health between males and females.

This study highlights how important s*x hormones may be for staying healthy later in life and shows that early-life decisions—like when to spay or neuter—can have long-term effects on health.

Another brag from this past weekend. Quila did great in the 4-6 month old puppy show earning 2 Group Twos and 1 Group Three! She is definitely a spicy little baby! 🥰

Something to make people smile. Big S*xy did great at the Louisville, KY shows this weekend. He won his class 4 out of the 5 days he was entered, one of the days being the national specialty! Love this boy with so much personality!

Azalea, Charmin, Toyland - Goddess of the Moon, "Quila" made her debut in the 4-6 month puppy show in Atlanta and rocked it! Her first show she won Best of Breed and a Toy group 3. Her second show, she was figuring it out even more and won Best In Show! I'm so proud of this spicy baby! She also won Best Puppy at both pug specialties which was wonderful. To say she had a wonderful weekend is an understatement! She is bred by Tina Wilchar, Michele Bearden, and Neva Greenwald. And owned by me.

I'm going to make a few updates from the Atlanta show last weekend! CH Vanity Lovable Dirty Martini, "Olive" won Best Opposite S*x twice and Select Bitch once and Best Owner Handler twice over the 4 days she was entered earning her 11 points (3 majors and 3 champion defeats!) towards her grand championship. She showed her heart out even though she was in full blown heat. I couldn't be more proud! She is co-owned by Jennifer Hessell and bred by me.
