So it has been a very busy week. But I'm still so impressed with my milkweed. And we have baby koi fry. It looks like thousands, I hope not. We don't have that much room for fish. They sure do love us and they know us; that's what's so strange at a very early stage of their life. They know our big fat heads. Lol. We also got our second rent-a-cacti gig for a wedding. I think that's kind of cute. And I'm so happy that it's happening and it was just very natural.

Greenhorn milkweed, courtesy of the birds, I'm sure, and good soil. I wonder if it could have come in with the straw. It's positioned in the best possible place in the butterfly garden.

🌿✨ The season is off to a beautiful start at Petals and Fins ✨🌿
The weather is just right, and Bryan and I are busy getting all of our koi ponds refreshed and ready. The water is clear, the lilies are waking up, and the marginal plants are stretching toward the sun. Very soon, everything will be blooming and full of life.
There is nothing quite like standing beside your own pond… watching the koi glide peacefully beneath blooming water lilies, surrounded by lush marginals. It turns any backyard into a place you never want to leave.
