30 PUPPIES. OUR FIRST RESCUE FLIGHT. ONE EXCITING NEW PARTNERSHIP! ❤️

While most of East Texas was sleeping, 30 LONGVIEW PUPPIES began their incredible journey toward brighter futures...

Longview PAWS and Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center (LACAC) are THRILLED to announce a NEW partnership with Pilots To The Rescue, a nonprofit organization of volunteer pilots based in Brooklyn, NY who generously share their time, aircraft, ground transportation and resources to help shelter and rescue animals across the country get the second chances they deserve.

And what a way to kick things off! 🎉

Our 30 precious PAWS-sengers traveled overnight to Lebanon, Tennessee where they boarded a plane this morning bound for North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, New York!

✈️ Our FIRST-ever transport flight has OFFICIALLY LANDED as of 4 PM EST!!

Through our OPERATION PAW-SOME Transport Project, we've seen the incredible impact of rescue partnerships. And now, WE'RE ADDING WINGS TO OUR MISSION! 🐾

A HUGE thank-you to Pilots to the Rescue, North Shore Animal League America, our dedicated LACAC team, That Crazy Dog lady, our incredible local fosters and everyone who helped make this milestone possible!

Pets are family, too. 💜🐾

During life’s hardest moments, the comfort and companionship of a beloved pet can mean everything. At the Women’s Center of East Texas, survivors staying in our shelter don’t have to leave their furry family members behind.
Because finding safety shouldn’t mean saying goodbye to the ones who bring you comfort, love, and healing.

Friends, you saw our post yesterday asking for our community's help as the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center took in 40 animals yesterday alone. 142 animals are currently patiently waiting at LACAC for their 2nd chance- each 1 deserving, each 1 didn't ask to end up in a shelter. BUT all thankful for the safe space, clean water, good food, care and love... HERE'S ANOTHER WAY YOU CAN HELP!!!!

Longview PAWS is HITTING the ROAD again TOMORROW afternoon, 10/18 with a Van full of LACAC shelter adult dogs making their way to our incredible rescue partner The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue in Blountville, TN. Our friends in East TN saw our plea and stepped up quickly to help. Getting 9 ADULT DOGS out and on to their new adventure is CRUCIAL and LIFE-SAVING!!

Our dedicated Volunteer drivers, Joe & Jason, will head out with 9 shelter dogs- Mindy, Antelope, Flaca, Mr. Snugglebug, Joker, Thelma, Louise, Doodles & Dancing Tina get their 2nd chance!! Friends, we cannot stress enough how BIG this trip is as finding rescue partners who can take adults is VITAL.

We're looking for TRANSPORT SPONSORS for our "OPERATION PAW-SOME" Transport Project.

A $35 SPONSORSHIP of each animal will cover:

✔️ Fuel & Van Maintenance for the journey (with fuel costs at an incredible premium right now- this is crucial)
✔️ Food and supplies for the road
✔️ Health certificates and travel prep
✔️ Comfort and care every mile of the way

When you sponsor an animal, you’re doing more than funding a trip—you’re giving homeless pets in East Texas the chance to start a new life.

Let’s keep our PAWS WAG-ON rollin...
