Longview PAWS, with help from our Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center volunteers, are excited to offer Camp PAW-some at LACAC again this SUMMER!! Check out some of our moments captured from last year's FUN....

Camp will be hosted on 2 MORNINGS this time- Thursday, July 24th for 6-10 yr olds and Friday, July 25th will be reserved for 11-14 year olds. Camp is 3 hrs in the morning from 9 AM to Noon at Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center.

Our Camp caters to the creative and curious in the most PAWSOME of ways! Campers will experience a unique blend of artistic exploration and animal encounters, providing young adventurers with a one-of-a-kind experience they'll remember forever.

Our goal is for young advocates to set out on a journey to champion the rights and welfare of animals. Campers will learn how to take care of animals, why it's important to treat them with love and respect and what we can do to make the world a better place for them.

We will limit each camp size to 24 adventures. $35 registration fee includes 2 craft items and 1 drink/snack.

🎉 We’re offering 20 GOTCHA DAY slots (3 spots left) — $500 donation secures a feature photo of your pet, name and adoption “gotcha” date on the van wrap

- both cats and dogs are welcome
- each entry will sit for a professional photo shoot with Puppy Love Pet Photography. photo session lasts 15-20 mins on Saturday, July 12th from 10 AM-2 PM at LACAC (or make alternate arrangements to go in her studio in Whitehouse)

🆘 🧯🎇 TODAY is the BUSIEST day of the YEAR for most animal shelters. fireworks and pups DON'T MIX and Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center intakes will be INSANE today and all through next week....

we need to empty kennels to make room for what enters the shelter- WE NEED ADOPTERS!! so many incredibly PAWSOME pets waiting right now. everyone pictured here CAN JOIN YOU at the lake, in the pool or curled up on the couch for the rest of this LONG HOLIDAY weekend (and every holiday going forward). save a life AND gain a BFF for all of life’s holidays.

🎆🎇 Red, White & WOOF! 🎇🎆

The 4th of July is HERE and while we’re enjoying fireworks and festivities, many pets are scared, stressed and getting lost trying to run from the noise. 🐾💥

Let’s keep tails wagging and pets safe this holiday with a little prep:

🐶 Keep pets indoors & cozy during fireworks. Leave TV or music on if you leave home
🌡️ Watch out for heat and keep them cool and hydrated
📍 Make sure microchips are up to date
🚪 Parties = open doors. Double-check gates and exits

Fireworks may light up the sky, but your pet belongs safely at home with you. A little planning = a whole lot of peace of mind! 💙

KEEP in MIND 4th of July festivities will last ALL WEEKEND long. Please be vigilant in your planning through Sunday for the safety of your pets!!

🐾🏆🎆 92 ANIMALS are now safe and secure thanks to their FREE MICROCHIPS funded by Longview PAWS. BIG thanks to our LACAC staff/volunteers and Toyota of Longview for spending this past Saturday helping our community pets in preparation of July 4th weekend!! 👏 👏👏

Also, BIG SHOUTOUT to the LACAC team for installing the FIRST COMMUNITY MICROCHIP SCANNER in ETX right on Toyota’s lot. Anyone who finds a lost pet now has 24/7 access to scan for a chip leading to reunification of pets faster. Help spread the word that this innovative and effective tool is now available.

FRIDAY is July 4th. Fireworks will last ALL WEEKEND. Still time to prepare and plan. Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center is offering microchips for $20 Wednesday and Thursday during business hours- 12-5 PM- 303 HG Mosley Pkwy, 75604. 🐶😺🐾

TODAY is the DAY to get YOUR PETS MICROCHIPPED for FREE GREGG COUNTY!!! Longview PAWS is happy to supply these chips to keep your PETS PROTECTED- it's quick, easy and FUR-EVER security.

10 AM- 2 PM, LACAC staff/volunteers will be at Toyota of Longview assisting Gregg County residents and their pets before the 4th of July fireworks next week.

With a microchip, you will be entered into a drawing to WIN A NEW 65” TV courtesy of Toyota! 📺 (6/28/2025 only. Only one (1) winner will be chosen. Must have animal microchipped at the event to be eligible.)

The Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center has installed a free pet microchip reader outside Toyota of Longview in the hopes to help those who have found lost pets.
