Our veterinary technicians wear so many hats, and it’s hard to put into words just how much they do every single day. They’re care givers for our patients, phlebotomists, radiology technicians, lab technicians, anesthetists, surgical assistants, dental hygienists, pharmacy experts, patient advocates, professional animal wranglers, and sometimes even mind readers.
Beyond all the medical skills and technical knowledge, they’re also the ones comforting a scared pet, reassuring a worried owner, cleaning up the messes no one talks about, juggling a dozen tasks at once, and finding a way to keep going even on the hardest days. They celebrate the victories, carry the heartbreak, work through the chaos (somedays are nothing but chaos - we see you full moon), and show up with compassion for every patient who comes through our doors. They do the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a veterinary hospital running, often without recognition for just how much they carry.
To our amazing techs: thank you for the knowledge, dedication, patience, flexibility, and heart you bring to this profession. Thank you for caring for our patients as if they were your own, supporting our doctors, comforting our clients, and taking care of each other along the way. Veterinary medicine is not for the faint of heart, and we simply could not do what we do without you. I hope you know how valued you are, not just this week, but every single day. You make a difference in more lives than you will ever know.
