Today we prevented 16 kittens from being born on the streets thanks to

This is why TNR matters.

There’s a saying: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” The same applies to TNR. We can help one colony today, but if we teach others how to trap, spay/neuter, and return community cats, the impact grows exponentially. Imagine if every person who learned TNR taught just one more person. Think of how many cats we could help and how much suffering we could prevent.

If you see community cats and don’t know where to start, ask for help. Learn. Get involved. Be part of the solution. Together, we can create lasting change for community cats, one colony at a time.

Mama Bonbon came to us after someone reported a “stray” cat caring for her newborn babies. Since then, she has proven to be an incredible mother and an even more incredible cat. Sweet, affectionate, and remarkably smart, Bonbon has even figured out that doorknobs open doors—so don’t underestimate this clever girl!

Bonbon loves to cuddle and soak up attention. She’s the kind of cat who wants to be close to her people and isn’t shy about asking for affection. She also enjoys the company of dogs more than other adult cats. Like many calicos, she has a little sass to go along with her sweetness and can be a bit of a firecracker when it comes to things like brushing or handling she didn’t ask for—but that’s all part of her charming personality!

ADOPT KIKI!! SWIPE FOR THE HOW ITS GOING VS HOW IT STARTED 💔

Meet Kiki, a 7-month-old polydactyl Siamese queen with extra toes and an extra-big heart. Kiki was adopted by someone through spcaLA at just 9 weeks old, but she was adopted out UNSPAYED. Unfortunately, and to no surprise, her adopter never brought her back for surgery (a reminder of why sending animals home unfixed can have heartbreaking consequences).

Fast forward five months, and Kiki’s owner decided to move into a rental that doesn’t allow pets. Rather than finding a safe solution, he posted her online — unfixed and vulnerable.

Thankfully, we found out in time. One of our amazing fosters in Long Beach welcomed Kiki into her home, and now she’s fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated.

Kiki is truly a ray of sunshine. She’s playful, affectionate, loyal, and loves being around her people. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, soak up all the attention you can give, and charm you with her adorable extra toes.

These four adorable rookies are now available for pre-adoption!

⚾️ Freddie – The sweetest floof. Super chill, loves everyone, and purrs nonstop when held.

⚾️ Mookie – A lovable little fuzzball who adores being held, talked to, and cuddled.

⚾️ Shohei – Cuddly, sweet, and a little spicy. Still a bit skittish, but making great progress every day.

⚾️ Sienna – Petite, sweet, and very vocal. This tiny girl always has something to say!
