A Loving Cat Rescue Center Cat Guardians is a no-kill, cageless shelter for cats in Lombard, IL.

For over 20 years, we have matched abandoned and stray street cats with loving families, and provided a permanent home for cats that have not been adopted due to age, medical conditions or socialization issues. We're funded entirely by your generous donations and staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.

But what makes Cat Guardians truly special is our incredible volunteers who give these precious animals the love, comfort and security they need while waiting for their happily ever after.

Whether you're caring for a tiny kitten, comforting a shy kitty who is learning to trust again, or giving an older cat some much-needed affection, YOU can make a difference in a life that truly needs you! 🐾❤️

Just as sweet as cherry pie, Cherry stole the hearts of everyone at Cat Guardians with his gentle, loving personality and irresistible charm. This handsome boy brought so much joy to our volunteers, and while we will certainly miss his adorable face and affectionate ways, knowing he has a wonderful family to love and cherish him makes our hearts incredibly happy! 🥹❤️

Sweet Sophie is 8 years old, and she knows what it feels like to have a home and a family of her own. Sadly, through no fault of her own, her life changed when she was surrendered to Cat Guardians. 💔

Imagine spending years knowing the comfort of home and then suddenly finding yourself somewhere new, surrounded by unfamiliar faces, sounds, and routines. For a gentle soul like Sophie, that is a lot of change.

And yet, Sophie remains incredibly sweet, trusting, and loving. ❤️

This beautiful brown tabby has a quiet way of stealing your heart. She loves attention, appreciates affection, and seems happiest simply knowing that someone is nearby to love her.
