RECENT ARRIVAL
Winnie is an older cockatiel in his early 20's. He has been at the shelter several times. He first came to us in 2018, was adopted but returned a few years later. He was adopted again, but was returned when his owner passed away. He has lived with another male cockatiel.

RECENT ARRIVAL
Rocky is a 7-year-old green cheek conure. He came to us in search of a new home after his owner passed away.

Rocky is quite energetic and would run towards the camera every time I tried to take a photo, so I settled for one behind bars. He doesn't like hands in his cage, but is friendly and will sit on shoulders when he comes out.

ADOPTED!
We are so happy for Milagre! She was adopted by a couple that volunteers at the shelter and has experience with large birds. Here she is in her carrier on her way home.

Milagre is a special needs bird that takes medication daily. She was one of the residents that had been at the shelter with us the longest. It often takes more time for special needs birds to get adopted, but they are just as loving a young bird and make wonderful companions.

RECENT ARRIVAL
Rae is a young female budgie that was found outside and brought to Lake County Animal Control. When an owner could not be found, they transferred her to our shelter so she could find a new home.

Today Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce visited Greater Chicago Cage Bird Society Rescue. Our birds entertained our visitor’s. Thank you Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and a special thanks to Jim for initiating and leading this endeavor.
