It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved clinic cat, Ruffles. She passed away peacefully in her sleep sometime during the night.

Since joining our clinic family last year, Ruffles faced a number of health challenges, and her condition often fluctuated. She was rescued from the Walmart parking lot in Logan by a wonderful rescue partner. While little was known about her history, it was clear that she was a senior cat with significant medical needs.

Among her many challenges, Ruffles lived with severe vestibular disease, which gave her a distinctive head tilt and an unforgettable way of navigating the world. Despite her limitations, she approached each day with quiet resilience and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who met her.

Although her time with us was far too short, her final year was filled with unconditional love, comfort, and compassion. She enjoyed endless servings of her favorite wet food, cozy cat beds for her daily naps, and the companionship of a team that adored her.

Ruffles formed a special bond with her best friend, Rocky, who is already feeling the loss of his constant companion.

Saying goodbye to a cherished furry friend is never easy. We are grateful for the time we had with Ruffles and for the joy she brought to our clinic each day. She made our lives better and brighter. Please keep our team in your thoughts as we mourn her loss and celebrate her life.

Rest peacefully, sweet Ruffles. You were deeply loved and will be greatly missed. ❤️🐾

Hello cat lovers!

One of our clients is needing to rehome her GORGEOUS male seal-point Siamese.

He’s relatively young, he’s healthy, and he’s neutered. He has to be an indoor cat. He’s an absolute gem! 💎

**Please note that we do not have this cat, but we can put you in touch with the client who DOES have this cat!

Happy FRI-YAY!

Yesterday we met Minnie!

She had gotten into her parents’ fishing supplies and ended up with a hook through her paw pad! Ouch!

After some sedation, antibiotics, pain meds, and wound flushing, Minnie was discharged feeling much better.

The handsome and fabulous Turbo, pictured here, presented to us a few days ago with a urethral obstruction that resulted in significant urethral bleeding — a very serious and frightening emergency. 🚨

We were able to successfully relieve the obstruction, start him on an appropriate prescription diet aimed at reducing the risk of future episodes, and send him home healthy after several days of hospitalization and supportive care.

Please keep Turbo in your thoughts as he continues to heal and return to his normal self. 💜

Grand Cat Central Feline Hospital is here for your kitties today from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

This is not the best photo, BUT our hit-by-car kitten, affectionately nicknamed Wheelie Nelson, stood yesterday! It may have only been for a brief moment, but it was a huge milestone for him. We are incredibly grateful for every small victory along the way.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has donated toward his care, checked in on his progress, kept him in their prayers, and sent positive thoughts our way. Your kindness and support mean so much to us and to him.

While he still has a long road ahead before he is fully recovered, we remain hopeful and are taking things one day at a time.

If you would like to donate towards Wheelie’s care, please call 304-752-8387 during business hours or PayPal: [email protected]

Grand Cat Central Feline Hospital will be open Wednesday, May 27, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

All of our hospitalized patients and rescue kitties are safely tucked in for the night. Many of them are not fans of storms, so we’re making sure they stay as comfortable and calm as possible.

Tonight also feels like the perfect time to introduce Forbes!

Forbes is a beautiful tuxedo female who was recently surrendered to us. She is currently undergoing treatment for FIP, and we are focused on helping her heal while also building her confidence and trust. We look forward to seeing her continue to improve, and she is expected to be available for adoption later this summer.

Everyone stay safe during the storms tonight! Please note that our phone lines and internet are currently down due to the storm, but we do have power!
