I hadn't updated the page in a while, lots going on but wanted to let everyone know that we expect a litter in late fall. Please pass the word, we like referral families. Also, I had never really understood "socialization" differences until I bought a new poodle puppy recently. Unbeknownst to me, he was from a "mill" and it was heartbreaking. I had no idea, I thought it was a person like me, raising good puppies and a local person at that and when we picked him up, I was dumbfounded. I messaged the man, told him how upset I was with the condition of the puppy, the fact that he couldn't even jump up on the sofa let alone come to you when you called for him. The man offered to "take him back" for a different puppy (LMAO, NEVER) and I just explained how ridiculous that was and that I'd keep him regardless. He had kennel cough, ear mites and was undernourished. Today, Rufus is still a little underweight but full of himself. He hides my phone, carries everything in the house, thinks he's mighty dog (although he sometimes misjudges distance to what he's jumping on to and sort of crashes) and is finally almost normal. All that being said, I'll NEVER say socailized puppies again without thinking of our Rufus.
