Classes coming to Galt In June

Barn Hunt is coming to Country Road Canines, LLC in Galt! 🐾🐀

We’re excited to welcome BAK9Ratitudes- Barn Hunt A Nose work Sport to Country Road Canines for a beginner-friendly Barn Hunt class.

Come discover the fun world of Barn Hunt right here in Galt! This class introduces dogs and handlers to the basics of locating safely contained rats hidden in straw-bale tunnels and mazes. It’s a fun, confidence-building sport that gives dogs a great mental and physical outlet.

No prior experience needed!

Dogs will practice searching, tunnel navigation, safely climbing on straw bales, building focus, problem-solving, confidence, and teamwork with their handler.

Class Details:
Class runs Monday nights for 5 weeks, starting June 22nd
Two 1-hour class options: 6:00 PM or 7:15 PM
Cost is $170 per dog

Our first Barn Hunt Regionals 2026 was an amazing experience. Magic qualified in every run except 1 master run with a distance challenge we missed 1 rat. James Shear that was a tough course! She placed 1st in Hurdles Run 2, Teams with Sykes we took 4th place, see run below 6 rats, 2 dogs and handlers. Lastly one of her Master runs her time was under 2:30 so she got a remax run- which is a separate title after 10 runs. Magic only needs 1 more run for her Ratch title. Thanks to Cathy Leavitt for running Sykes with me. Thanks to Tina Bevan and the Silver Rose Ranch crew for hosting amazing trial and venue. We definitely made memories and some new riends.
