⚠️🥵 With the warm summer temperatures at a high this week, here's just a few tips to beat the heat and keep your pets safe and cool:

🌞Make sure pets have fresh water and access to shade.
🌞Do not leave dogs in cars -even for a short period of time. Cars can heat up fast!
🌞Use caution on dark asphalt -it can burn paw pads.
🌞Keep elderly or short-nosed breeds in the AC as much as possible.
🌞Take your longer walks in the morning or at night when it's cooler.

⚠️Signs of heat stroke in dogs are
-excessive panting
-reddened gums
-drooling
-uncoordinated movements
-collapse
-vomiting/diarrhea
●Take your dog to the shade. Give the dog water if they will drink and use COOL water or soaked towels to cool them down. Call us right away if you are concerned about heat stroke!

📢💒 Gus needs a home! 💒📣

Gus is a 7yr lab mix whose best friend passed away. He is very sweet but a tad nervous at times. He did great for his annual exam with us in Portage. He is dog reactive so would need to be the only dog in his new home.
