Even dogs get breast cancer. Do your monthly checks in your dogs as well.
"Hey everyone, Seven here! 🐾 Did you know that dogs and cats can also develop mammary tumors? Catching changes early makes a massive difference in our prognosis.
That is why I am highly encouraging all my fellow furry friends' humans to do a monthly check of their pet’s mammary glands. It is super easy and just feels like an extra-thorough belly rub to us! 🐶🐱
Here is how you can check your pet this month:
• Feel carefully: Gently run your fingers along our undersides, checking the tissue under and around each of our ni***es.
• Check for lumps: Look for any new, firm bumps—even ones as small as a kibble or a pea!
• Watch for changes: Note any unusual swelling, redness, skin changes, or discharge.
See or feel something unusual? Don't wait! Reach out to your clinic promptly to set up an appointment so a vet can check it out. Take it from me, Seven—we count on you to keep us safe and healthy! ❤️🩺
