We have exciting news!!! 🐾🐾 Dr. John Wray has joined our Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic Family!!
Dr. Wray was raised in Greenbrier, Arkansas, where his passion for veterinary medicine began. At just thirteen years old, he started working as a veterinary assistant, gaining hands-on experience that would shape his future career.
Dr. Wray continued working in both small animal and emergency veterinary practices throughout Central Arkansas. During this time, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Dr. Wray later attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he graduated in 2020 with a degree in Poultry Science. While there, he continued building his clinical experience as a veterinary technician and as a laboratory animal technician.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 and was excited to return home and begin practicing.
Dr. Wray has special interests in dentistry, dermatology, and surgery. He enjoys building lasting relationships with his clients and patients and works closely with families to develop practical treatment plans that prioritize both effectiveness and quality of life.
Outside of vet med, Dr. Wray enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and playing the clarinet. He and his wife, Jenna share their home with two Australian Shepherds, Mark and Luke, and a cat named Mabel.
