If you're interested in adopting either kitten please reach out to us to receive an adoption application; if the kittens are not adopted at their meeting, we will reach out to the next applicant. These kittens are not available first-come-first-serve, we want them to go to the best fitting home*

These two are in urgent need of homes! They do NOT need to be adopted together, however they'd appreciate that if possible.

They were born to an outdoor community cat and cared for by a kind person. They started spending time near a busy highway and were in grave danger of being hit by a car. They were taken in by a temporary foster that cannot keep them long-term. We arranged for them to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated tomorrow. They'll be ready for adoption, they just need a person willing to give them a family. 🖤

The calico is a girl, the black and white tuxedo kitten is a boy. They're approximately 2-3 months old and don't appear to have any health issues but will be vet checked tomorrow to make sure.

Hi there! My name is Pookie. I got that name because I am everyone's best friend. I love people and spending time near people. I don't mind being picked up and held and normally I am purring happily when people are close to me. Read below to find out what my foster has to say about me. 🥰

Pookie received orange cat energy from her parents. She acts very much like an orange cat. She is bold, outgoing, social, and intelligent. Usually her legs move first and her brain catches up afterwards. She adores playing and is incredibly athletic. Pookie loves to race around and jump. When playing with toys, she stalks her "prey" and will gleefully pounce at just the right moment to catch it midair. Pookie enjoys playing with other cats but will just as happily play with humans or independently. She's incredibly affectionate and doesn't mind being held for petting. She's often purring or being very expressive with her adorable little face.

Pookie is the type of cat that needs at least some stimulation or enrichment daily, otherwise she may resort to finding her own enrichment which could make her more of a medium maintenance sort of cat. She doesn't need daily walks, but she does probably need some level of play or interaction with her person daily or she may become unhappy. This can be very normal for some kittens and doesn't necessarily mean that anything is wrong with Pookie. She's just a teensy bit intense and may not be a good fit for someone that's hoping for a cat that will just lounge around with them. Pookie enjoys a good lounge too, and is cuddly, but she has a need for speed and activity right now. This may decrease with age, or she may always enjoy a good adrenaline rush.

Would you love a snuggly, beautiful brown/gray tabby who loves to purr when picked up? Then these kitties are for you! As it is in these kitties’ best interests to find their people as soon as possible, we are offering them to you for a free-will donation to Kindred Spirits Rescue. Won't you please consider opening your home to one of these friendly kitties?

They are all well socialized and have excellent eating and litterbox habits!!! Toastie is a male and Tessa, Tanya, and Tootsie are all females; they are siblings. These "kids" are microchipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and ready to love you!!!

Happy Thursday from Frank! Short for Frankenstein. 😍 He's one of the sweetest kittens ever. He loves to hold his foster's finger while he nurses and enjoys snuggles once his tummy is full.

One of our lovely supporters reached out to us about this cutie pie. Her momma sadly passed away, leaving her alone. We're not sure what happened, but she somehow sustained a serious injury to her face. We're calling her "Blueberry" because she's so darn sweet!

Thanks to the efforts of a wonderful and caring person, Living Waters Veterinary Clinic, and one of our excellent fosters, this little girl made it to safety! 😍

This is another case that we wouldn't have been able to take in without the support of all of you. We had the funds to cover the cost of her emergency care. We're so happy we could help - this is exactly the type of work we strive to do for cats in need.

Good morning from KSRs newest friends! ❤️

To anyone that's supported us... You helped these three make it to safety. They had been living outdoors and their mother went missing. They were completely alone for over 24 hours and were found trying to suckle on the ground and each other in a desperate attempt to survive. They were outside overnight in temperatures around 35 degrees. They were cold and malnourished by the time they arrived to us. We were very worried about their condition and immediately worked on stabilizing them. We're happy to report that they are now stable and getting stronger! We are optimistic about their futures.

Because of all of you, these three got a second chance. Not all kittens are this lucky. This is why we feel so strongly about spaying and neutering. Not only does it keep adult cats safer and healthier, it prevents this sort of suffering too. Only about 25% of kittens born to outdoor cats survive long enough to reach a year of age.

Thank you to all who played a part in the safety of these special kittens. Donated formula and supplies were used to get them back on track and we have a fantastic support system of veterinary staff to help us out in situations like this. The community that we've built has saved so many lives and reduced suffering locally. 💪

PS - these kiddos still need names. We're thinking about fall or Halloween themed names for them. The tortoiseshell is a girl, the dark orange is a boy, and the light orange is a girl! Feel free to suggest names in the comments ;)
