Arlo really, really, really needs a home to decompress in. He isn't happy in his foster home any longer. His needs simply cannot be met. We don't have a better foster home for him to go to and don't want to increase his stress even more. The best thing for him would be for him to be adopted. There is NO cost to adopt Arlo.

Arlo's stress level has increased to a point where he's now struggling around some of the cats and dogs in his foster home. To be fair; there are 4 dogs and Arlo has to be confined to a large (12 square feet) area for part of the day, which is hard on him. He likes to run and jump and explore. He spends plenty of his time napping too and most of the time he feels okay. There are moments where he tells us that he's uncomfortable and wishes things were different. ☹️

Arlo's future home should have an area that he can be close to his people. He is happy as long as anyone is around him. He really doesn't need much besides some space to explore and a person to love him. He's a sensitive guy and would prefer a quiet home without children or many other pets. He gets along well with some cats and other cats he seems to not enjoy very much. We can talk more about this with anyone that's interested in giving him a home. He can coexist with dogs but does not seek them out and prefers to keep a distance from them and would probably prefer a home without dogs because they seem to cause him stress.

Arlo is incredibly loving and has so many fantastic qualities. He just needs to find his person.

Good morning everyone! Arlo here.

I hope you're having a happy Monday! I'm still looking for my person. It's been over a month of mornings spent bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, waiting for someone to stop by and scoop me up. I love cuddling with my foster mom. My dream is to sleep right next to a human, I love them. Everyone that meets me says I'm very handsome and loving. I'm starting to get a little sad that I am still in foster, I crave a deeper connection than what my foster mom can give me. Do you have room in your heart and home for me? My adoption fee is covered - all I need is a place to live and a person to love me. 🩶🤍 Young children scare me but mature children (ages 10+) are okay with me as long as they understand to respect my space. I've lived with other cats and dogs and have done well with them.

FOUND: male kitten, ~3 months of age. We're calling him "Edgar". He's not neutered and does not have a microchip. He was found in Little Falls in an area East of Camp Ripley.

Proof of ownership required to reclaim. This guy definitely knows what people are - is anyone missing him? He will be held for 5 days, if no owner is found he will be added to our adoptable kitties.

Remember those teeny ginger kittens we posted back in March? Well... They grew! All of them found homes besides miss Sadie. There's nothing wrong with Sadie except that she doesn't have her own family yet!

Sadie is 5 months old and we'd love for her to find her very own family. To help her find one, her adoption fee is waived (zero). Anyone interested in adopting her has to complete an adoption application and be approved to adopt. 🥰

Here's what Sadie's foster has to say about her: Sadie is a playful, free spirited kitten. She loves humans and reaches out for interactions. Sadie is a neat and tidy girl; she likes her kennel clean and her litter box refreshed! She plays well with other kitties and even though she is a ginger, she isn't totally wild-just a wee bit mischievous that will make you smile.

PS, did you know that only about 20% of orange tabby cats are female? Sadie is special! 🥳 Her coat is a gorgeous deep red/orange shade.

Our sweet Nico is having his eye surgically removed today. This isn't the outcome we had hoped for, but his eye pressure is increasing and his eye could rupture. This is the result of having an untreated eye infection as a vulnerable kitten.

Nico came from the group of cats we took in that had been living out of carriers. They were an unexpected addition. We love him and his friends deeply but have experienced financial strain as a result of these unexpected needs.

We could use some help. Please send positive thoughts, vibes, or prayers Nico's way. If you're able to financially contribute, we could really use some help right now. We don't always share the difficult parts of our work here at KSR. We always have things to be grateful for, but sometimes luck doesn't work in our favor and beats us down when we can't afford to take a break. Now is one of those times. Don't worry - all of our kitties are happy, it's us humans that could use a pick-me-up right now.

Sweet Arlo is looking for a home. His adoption fee is waived to help him find one - he's been looking for an entire month and has had no inquiries. 😢 He's starting to get sad and lonely.

Arlo originally joined KSR last summer as a teeny little kitten. He had an excellent foster that prepared him for life very well. He was adopted and lived in a home for nearly a year with a loving family.

The good:
Arlo is very cuddly and thrives when he's near people. He is remarkably sweet. He'd be an excellent candidate for an emotional support kitty. He loves deeply and without reservation. He's goofy and playful. He enjoys playing with wand type toys or is happy to play on his own. This guy is a foodie, he adores eating treats or canned food. He is smart and thoughtful. He thinks life is pretty darn great! His foster home has a variety of dogs and adult cats, Arlo has done well with all. He's also met a 13 year old human and did well. He's confident and friendly with new people.

The not as good:
Arlo is fairly vocal. He doesn't meow for no reason, he's normally requesting something (toy, treat, petting, etc). He's on the average/quiet side when his needs are met. His previous home had a young child which seemed to cause stress to Arlo. This resulted in him having some accidents outside of his litter box. Arlo has been with us for a month now and has had NO accidents during that time. His foster's home is by no means "low stress" compared to the average home. He would likely be successful in just about any home that does not have a tiny human in the family. We will happily allow Arlo to be fostered by a potential adoptive home to make sure he's successful prior to adoption. We've handled similar cases to Arlo's in the past and have had great success placing cats in homes that decrease their overall stress. We're quite confident that Arlo will thrive and not have chronic litterbox issues. He's had ample opportunity to have accidents in his foster home and has not attempted to do so.

Arlo is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been dewormed. All he needs is a family now. 🥰 He's just over 1 year old.
