Busy skin prep week with the griz and the form came today so I got a test fit in! This one will need a lot of alterations done which is typical for bears. My client wanted a unique eye color for it so it’s getting a honey blonde color that really goes well with the blonde fur. I also made eyes, test fitted the skin and started altering a form for a baby raccoon that will be started on Monday 🩵

More skins coming back from the tannery! Currently contacting people on the list before I head out of town for the holiday weekend. Cross fox, 2 red fox, oddball coyote that has the coloration of a raccoon! 2 bobcats, a little black bear and a blonde phase grizzly

It's been brought to my attention that scammers are currently using photos of the bear mount I have in progress. This particular bear already has a pending buyer once it is completed. I work with each client one-on-one throughout the entire mounting process and provide progress photos along the way.
Invoices are only sent directly through Square after a mount is finished. If I ever have an available mount, it will always be posted directly on this business page. It's very rare that I list unclaimed mounts on outside for-sale pages. Please be cautious of fake accounts using my photos or pretending to sell my work.

I am working on Apoxie and painting the bear face today. In my experience, bears are one of the more difficult species to paint, second only to bobcats, especially when it comes to their noses. I hand paint all mounts opposed to airbrushing. I feel I have more control of the way I apply and blend the colors together. I use a combination of lacquer paint, pan pastels and occasionally alcohol markers
