Pet Profile and Rat micro-Rescue

day 14, saint rat!

10/25/2026

*edit: I'm 90% they are mice pups, but they will be loved all the same

My husband was on a jog when he found a box full of what we both assume are rat pups 🥺 I consider myself a micro-Rescue, so this felt like fate.

All four were cold but alive! I've got them all warmed up. Checked their milk bands and it seems 3/4 had visible ones. They've been warmed up and are asleep in my pocket so my body heat keeps them warm. I've fed them KMR with a Qtip and made sure to potty them and will do so again every few hours. I have a small 1 gallon glass tank with a mesh lid, lined it with fleece and will have a heat pad underneath the tank so they can stay warm when I go to bed. My cat gets me up every couple hours anyway, so I'll be sure to check on them and feed/potty them.

The last group of babies I rescued were 3 1/2 weeks old, so I have a bit of experience but I want to see if there are any recommendations or tips from anyone else!
Even if they don't make it, they will be warm and loved ❤️
