🌞🐾 Hot Weather = Hot Danger! Keep Your Pets Safe This Summer 🐶🐱💦

Summer is here — and while we love the sunshine, rising temps can be dangerous for our furry friends. With some very warm weather on the way, here are some quick tips to keep your pet safe in the heat:

🚫 NEVER leave pets in parked cars — even for a minute. Temps can soar over 100°F in moments.

🏃‍♀️ Avoid midday walks — Hot pavement can burn paw pads. Walk early morning or late evening when it’s cooler.

💧 Hydration is everything! Make sure pets always have access to fresh, clean water.

🌳 Provide shade — If your pet is outside, make sure they have a cool, shaded place to rest.

🐶 Be extra cautious with brachycephalic dogs (Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs) as they can overheat even more rapidly

💨 Watch for signs of heatstroke:

Excessive panting

Drooling

Weakness or collapse

Vomiting

Bright red gums
