If you're in North Carolina (and most southern areas) it's going to be too hot to walk your dog except for early in the morning and after sunset this week. Dogs get overheated much more quickly than people because they don't sweat like we do. Flat-Faced dogs like Shih Tzus, Pekingese, Pugs, Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, Bulldogs, etc can overheat extremely quickly. Even though your dog might like to sunbathe, he doesn't understand the fact that he can get overheated quickly. Heat stroke is life-threatening and can happen in minutes.
