For those unfamiliar with the Barking Lot Boarding, I have been in business here for 24 years. I am a small, licensed facility with 6 big dog kennels and 5 small dog kennels, which are indoors and climate controlled. Being a small kennel, it is much less stressful and less noisy than larger scale facilities. I am the only one who works here so your pups dont have to get use to a bunch of different faces. I am very hands on, with tons individual attention, playtime,and walks. I do not believe in play groups, so yourpu baby won't be with other dogs. I have a very large fenced in play yard and the pups go out there every couple of hours to potty , exercise,play and just get out of the kennel. My goal is to have clients be able to vacation and not have to worry about their babies. For those people considering boarding their dogs that allows them to play with strange dogs in groups, please reconsider! It sounds like a wonderful idea,your dog gets to play all day with other dogs. You feel better about leaving them. Unfortunately this is a recipe for disaster. Dogs are unpredictable in groups. I can site many incidents where pups have been attacked, hurt ,and even killed in this type of environment. In the video below, the puppy was seriously hurt. I know of a lady that took her dog to a daycare,had been with the same dogs everyday for a month. One day another dog decided to jump on hers and literally tore it apart. I have never, or will ever allow my boarders to be with dogs they do not live with. They get individual attention, playtime, and walks with me, and are safe and happy
