Yes....Community Cats are our focus and where we want to spend our furever lives - in a sanctuary dedicated to those cats left behind, unwanted, unrehomeable, and just otherwise forgotten.

However...before we can get there we need to make sure that our community has done what we can to to make sure that the overpopulation stops! How many times do we see posts that "she got out one time and was pregnant", or "he goes out at night and comes back in the morning"...if they're not spayed/neutered, well...we end up with more babies and cats than there should be in a healthy community.

We want to change the story. We will be initiating a spay/neuter support program in the very near future, and we need you. Unfortunately, the cost of altering a pet is difficult for many families. With that said - we also know how important our feline furriends are to our families. Families should not have to choose between food and fixing their animals. Instead of being a keyboard warrior saying, "don't get a pet", let's help fix the issue for those that are in need.

We have so many things that we can do, but stopping the overpopulation is the very furst step. Please help us help others help their cats!

Seeking youth volunteers for April 26th! Do you have a high school senior in Lincoln, Nebraska that has Community Service Hours to fulfil before they graduate?

We are 100% passionate about involving our youth in our story. Our microchip clinics are an opportunity to learn about the importance of microchipping and putting a collar on our pets, and also the critical value of volunteering to support our communities.

We are looking for 10 high school students that are passionate about helping animals and volunteering. Attention to detail, kindness, patience and the ability to follow instructions is critical.

Context: surgical procedure

This special, complex, detailed, specific image tells a story that can't be emphasized enough. The story of TNR is not complicated, but aligning our community on the importance of it is.

The left ear tip is the universal sign that a cat has had the benefit of going through the TNR process - trap, spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and returning them to their home community.

We know that each of the cats that were a part of this surgical day will not be subject to reproducing, fighting and aggression over mating, removal of their reproductive organs provides them a level of security from different type of illness, cancers, spreading congenital health issues. They will have their vaccinations. Unless they are injured, they should never be bothered by an animal control agency. They will get to simply be cats.

There is NO greater gift for a community cat than to give them the ability to simply be a cat.

I never judge "why". But I have to ask - over and over and over. Regardless of the species, I just don't understand.

Knowing how many cats are said "no" to because the shelters are full...you never know what you might find in a reputable shelter. Be a hero .

When you decide to track a momma cat and her litter, you are very likely to find a few others. This BEAST has been sharing his genetics for a while but tomorrow his days of fighting will be over.

When you neuter a male cat, you will successfully:

Stop reproduction
Stop the need to fight
Reduce the risk of disease
Increase lifespan
Reduce reproduction
Eliminate inbreeding
Create cohesiveness in a colony
Ensure vaccination
Guarantee their return to their colony
