Remember Neo??

You helped him. You made the difference for him.

We can’t save every cat, but the ones we do, we change their lives - and the humans who fall in love with them.

Left under a tree, people driving and passing by. It took one phone call from a kind soul, one person to answer the phone and run across the street. And a community that made it possible to remove his broken tail. And neuter him. And vaccinate him. And microchip him.

YOU did that. Without our donors and the people that care as much as we do, we would struggle to succeed in our mission.

Neo is lucky. He didn’t always live his life covered in ticks and fleas. Emaciated and hidden. Someone left him behind, lost him or just quit on him.

Others won’t be able to be adopted. Thats why The Purrpose will build The Purrfect Place - a sanctuary for feral, unsocial, broken and unadoptable cats that would otherwise face euthanasia.

We’re getting closer. With 4 1/2 hours left of Lincoln’s largest fundraising day for non-profits, help your donations go just a little bit further with the match fund sponsored by the Lincoln Community Foundation.

From a steel jaw trap to a most glorious Wilbur the Great, your donations save cats like him.

We help those that are abandoned and facing euthanasia because there is no one to pay the bill. Other than his necrotized leg and broken scapula, he is PURRFECT.

We’re blown away with the generosity of Lincoln today. We will deliver for you, and the community, feral, and otherwise unseen cats of our homes.

We have 8 1/2 hours to collect donations during Give to Lincoln Day. This has been more than anything would could have hoped for - and….

Our new phrase…

We do love kittens, but we started this to stop the heartache and the endless death. And…to help those cats that had no one looking out for them.

We want to do more. We want to engage more volunteers, and every penny counts.

Today is the annual Give to Lincoln Day! Along with a “pawty” at 12th and P from 1030-130, to come meet up, we will benefit from a generous donor match program for all funds raised through midnight tonight - May 28, 2026.

The Anti-Purrpose

The mission...The Purrpose.

When all else fails, and your heart is breaking, and you're exhausted with kitten requests and overrun colonies...TRAP. NEUTER. RETURN.

I'm eternally grateful to The Cat House for providing me a foundation for TNR, and allowing us to go for the numbers in the last couple years - hoping to make a difFURence in the Lincoln and surrounding communities.

Last night, with the help of a ride or die trapping buddy, we trapped until about 1 am. The interesting thing? Of the 7 we trapped, only 2 were recognized by the caretaker - and they're GREAT caretakers. Which means we have at least another 10-14 cats there that need to be TNR'd.

As we transition into our own, we will continue stepping away from supporting kittens and more to the full focus of TNR and community cat care. Our donors are 100% behind us and our efforts. Kittens become the "anti-Purrpose". They're cute...but they are a continuation of a perpetual problem that we need to get under control.

Supporting rescues and non-profits that actively pursue IS THE ANSWER.
