🐾 Meet Nash! A Big Personality With Lots of Energy! 🐶

Back in August, Nash came to Bark N’ Train for an in home training evaluation. ❤️

Nash is a playful, powerful dog with plenty of enthusiasm! His owners reached out because his strength and energy were becoming difficult to manage, and they wanted to find a better way to communicate with him and gain more control.

After discussing their goals and what they were experiencing at home, we talked about getting Nash started with our Basic Obedience Training Program.

Because training is about more than teaching a dog to sit or stay. It’s about building communication, improving impulse control, developing reliable obedience, and helping owners feel more confident handling their dogs in everyday situations.

Reactive Dog Training in Omaha and Lincoln: Libby's Story 💙

Back in August, Libby's owner contacted me because Libby was reactive with other dogs and anxious in new environments. Everyday outings were stressful for both of them.

I started where Libby felt safest. I reintroduced her to other dogs in a controlled, low-pressure way, then gradually worked her through new places, including a pet store where she ended up calm and curious instead of overwhelmed.

Her owner shared this update: Libby walked past a family with kids without a reaction, noticed a dog across the street, and returned to her walk quickly. She also pulled less than before.

Progress with a reactive dog rarely looks perfect. It looks like faster recovery, calmer walks, and an owner who has the tools to keep going. Libby's owner has stayed consistent, which is why the results are lasting.

A little story from one of our April cases. 🐶

Pip, Finn, and Wicket love their owner so much that they didn't want anyone else near her. When one dog snuggled up, the others would bark and tense up. Even walking past her could set things off.

Here's what most people miss: guarding usually comes from worry, not stubbornness. The dogs are afraid of losing the person they love.

In our private in-home sessions, we taught each dog to relax on their own mat, then rebuilt closeness one small step at a time. Now two of them share her lap calmly, and the household is a lot more peaceful.

Big congratulations to Lucky on graduating from our Basic Obedience program! 🎉🐾

When we first started with this sweet black lab, jumping was the name of the game, the kind of over the top, can’t contain the excitement energy labs are famous for. Fast forward through consistent training, and Lucky has transformed into a calm, stable, and confident dog who can hold a sit and greet people politely instead of bouncing off the walls.

That kind of change takes real commitment. Kim, Jeremy, and the whole family showed up and put in the work every single day, and it shows!!

Congratulations to Lucky and the entire family! Enjoy those calmer hellos and walks ahead.
