If I had to place the most nosiest birds, here they are in order 😂 some are just discovering the crowing war that happens every morning and night for 40 minutes. I ended up with way too many boys this past hatching season. 🐓

Well said. Remember, before you complain ask yourself if you help volunteer. If you don’t, then I’d suggest shutting the F ⬆️.

With that being said, The Ohio National is a place I showed my first birds and a place I went to before I started exhibiting poultry to enjoy the fancy. They always put on an amazing show and I look forward to continuing this tradition with my boys as they start exhibiting this year, as well. Thank you to all that show, contribute and volunteer, we greatly appreciate your service and hard work! 🤍

Well, this was a first! 🦅❤️

While closing up the barn for the night and searching for a runaway rooster, I accidentally startled this little guy when I walked into the upper barn with my flashlight.

I must have temporarily blinded or disoriented him because he took off flying straight into one of the massive, solid wooden support beams. 😭 He immediately dropped to the ground, seemingly knocked unconscious.

Naturally, thinking he was dead or seriously injured, my first instinct was to scoop him up and make sure he was okay.

Thankfully, this feisty little fella came around! Once he did, he sure gave me some hell about it too 😂❤️

In hindsight, gloves would’ve been a smart choice, but apparently my love for wildlife overrides my common sense sometimes. Those tiny talons and that sharp little beak definitely have some attitude! Luckily, I escaped without injury. And honestly, I LOVE the spicy ones!🔥

After checking him over and making sure he appeared alert and intact, I was able to release him.

I’ve lived around all kinds of wildlife, but this was my very first up-close encounter with an American Kestrel (Falco sparverius) — North America’s smallest falcon!

Such an absolutely beautiful little predator! Nature never ceases to amaze me, and I feel pretty lucky to have gotten such a close look at this gorgeous little guy.
