Today, let us pause and remember that tomorrow is never promised.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken in the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil.
2,753 souls were lost in New York City when the Twin Towers fell.
184 lives were taken at the Pentagon.
40 brave passengers and crew members aboard Flight 93 made the ultimate sacrifice in Pennsylvania, preventing even greater tragedy.
Among them were 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and 8 paramedics who ran toward danger to save others.
Each of them went to bed the night before, unaware that it would be their last. Their courage, sacrifice, and memory live on in us.
This day reminds us that in a single moment, life can change forever. It reminds us to hold our loved ones closer, to cherish every breath, and to never take a single second for granted.
As we honor their memory, let us also stand united as one nation—stronger together than divided. May we continue to pray for the families who still grieve, for our first responders who carry the weight of that day, and for our country to remain steadfast in hope, faith, and resilience.
