This beautiful Aussie puppy had her first private lesson, and we covered a lot of the basics to set her up for success! 🐾

Update on Mr. Charlie 🕊️

With great sadness, we share that Mr. Charlie, our elderly neighbor who was rescued during our flood recovery efforts, passed away this afternoon.

While our hearts are heavy, we are so thankful that he was found in time to receive care, comfort, and connection in his final days. It brings peace to know he wasn’t alone — that his nephew Jason, our team, and so many prayers surrounded him with love.

What started as a heartbreaking situation turned into a powerful reminder of God’s timing. We truly believe we were meant to be here — right next door — for a reason.

Please continue to lift Mr. Charlie’s loved ones in your prayers. Though he’s no longer with us, Charlie’s story will always remind us that even in tragedy, miracles happen.

Rest easy, neighbor. You won’t be forgotten. ❤️

We’ve made so much progress, but there’s still a long road ahead. While volunteers are offering support, we’re trying to knock out as much as possible. So many people have stepped up already, and it’s because of you that we’ve made it this far. But we still have a long way to go.

Something truly incredible happened this week — in the middle of the chaos, our helped save a life.

While we were deep in recovery efforts after the flood, we received word that my elderly neighbor had been reported missing. His nephew Jason, who lives out of town, hadn’t heard from him in weeks. By what I can only describe as a God-orchestrated moment, Jason came across our animal rescue efforts online and realized we were right next door to his uncle’s house.

He reached out to one of our cleanup coordinators, asking if someone could check on him — and we were asked to go over. I honestly braced myself for the worst. We were looking for any signs outside… but when we found the back door unlocked and stepped inside, there he was — alive, lying on the living room floor.

We later learned he had been stuck there for weeks — without food, water, or any way to call for help. He was severely dehydrated, but still holding on.

Paramedics arrived within 10 minutes and got him to the hospital, and now, thanks to Jason and the team that acted fast, he’s finally getting the care he needs.

We’ve stayed in close contact with Jason, and while there’s a long road ahead, he’s so thankful — as are we.

The flood caused unimaginable damage… but it also saved this man’s life. Without it, no one would have come to check on him.

Please continue to keep Charlie and all of us in your prayers. God truly placed us here for a reason.

We are seeing so much progress, and it’s all because of you. Your time, energy, and love is helping us rebuild and we couldn’t be more grateful.

A very special thank you to Summer Pavliska with PAWliska Rescue and Reunite for being our point of contact and rallying the troops. You were instrumental in getting people here and we are so thankful for your leadership and heart.

Also a HUGE thank you to Kali White Smith & Mike Smith with Cold Copper Cattle Co. LLC & Cold Copper Commodities Company for stepping in and offering hands-on help and materials when we needed it most.

We still have a long way to go, but each day gets a little brighter thanks to this incredible community. 💛

We just received word that USAA has declined coverage for our entire property — including our home, our training facility, and all surrounding structures lost in the flood. This news has been incredibly devastating. We’re leaning on our community more than ever as we begin the long road to recovery — rebuilding not just our property, but the heart of our family business. Every share, prayer, donation, and word of encouragement is carrying us through. Thank you for standing with us. 🐾❤️

This is really hard for me to post, but here it is… 💔

As many of you know, we were hit by devastating flooding. While we are beyond grateful that all people and dogs are safe, the damage to our property and the loss of some of our farm animals is heartbreaking. The flooding completely changed everything for us. Our home, our facility, and so much of what we’ve built was destroyed.

This little business of mine — Ashley's K9 Training — is my heart and soul. It’s built on faith, love, and service to the animals and families in our community. Right now, we’re doing everything we can to keep going, but we’re facing a long road to rebuild.

Today has been one of those days you never expect - and never forget.

Early this morning, our property was overwhelmed by flash flooding. We had to be rescued by Fire & Rescue. It was terrifying.

The good news and what matters most is that every person and every dog is safe.

We’ve spent the entire day evacuating animals, moving horses to other locations, and bringing all the dogs to safety.

We did experience heartbreaking losses - some of our farm animals didn’t make it, and the damage to the property is tremendous. Everything we’ve poured our hearts into will need to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Thank you to everyone who’s reached out to check on us. Your love, messages, and prayers have been a huge comfort during a very difficult day.

I’ll continue to share updates as we begin the long process of recovery.

🎆 4th of July Dog Safety Tips From Ashley’s K9! 🇺🇸🐾

Fireworks and festivities can be fun for us — but scary and even dangerous for our dogs! Here are a few quick tips to keep your pup safe and calm this Independence Day:

✅ 1. Exercise Early: Take your dog for a long walk or play session before the fireworks start. A tired dog is a calmer dog!

🏡 2. Keep Them Inside: Bring your dog indoors before dusk. Loud noises can spook even the most confident pups into running away.

🔒 3. Secure Their Space: Make sure doors, windows, and fences are secure. Create a comfy, quiet spot inside with their favorite toys or a blanket.

🎵 4. Drown Out the Noise: Turn on the TV, a fan, or some calming music to help mask the sound of fireworks.

💙 5. ID Tags & Microchips: Double-check that your dog’s ID tags are up to date — just in case they slip out in fear.
