We're so excited to introduce one of our amazing team members here at the clinic – Shelby! 💙

Shelby is a passionate animal lover who brings care and kindness to every furry (or feathery!) friend she meets. At home, she’s mom to two adorable orange cats, Stevie and Tony. Their favorite activities? Watching NCIS together and chasing their fish toys around the house 🎣🐟.

When she's not at the clinic, Shelby enjoys:

• 🎨 Arts & Crafts
• 📸 Photography
• 💍 Making her own jewelry (how cool is that?!)

Hi friends — Sophia here! I may be a scruffy little mystery mix (some say Schnauzer, others say Patterdale Terrier… who really knows? 🤷‍♀️), but one thing’s for sure: being a mutt makes me one of a kind!

Today, our team at Lakeside Veterinary is celebrating all the amazing mixed-breed dogs out there. Mutts like me may not come with a pedigree, but we make up for it with charm, loyalty, and lots of personality. 💙

📣 Meet Amber – Our Newest Team Member! 📣

We’re so excited to welcome Amber to our veterinary clinic family! You may have already seen her around – here she is giving a little extra TLC to one of our feline patients 🧡🐱.

Amber brings a wealth of experience to our team, having worked as a veterinary assistant from 1999 to 2010. After taking time off to raise her two children she’s made her return to the field, and we couldn’t be luckier to have her.

At home, Amber shares her life with a sweet crew of pets:
🐈 Dexter – her 12-year-old cat
🐶 Ruby – a 10-year-old Plott Hound mix
🐕 Gryffin – a 6-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier
🦜 Luna – her talkative 10-year-old Indian Ringneck parrot

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find Amber getting creative with collage and acrylic painting, geeking out over plant identification, or diving into a good book.

🌟 Meet Hope! 🌟
Vet Assistant • Future Licensed Vet Tech • Animal Enthusiast Extraordinaire

Hope has been part of the veterinary world for 6 years and is currently in the final stretch of vet tech school (go, Hope! 🎓📚). She’s studying hard for the VTNE and dreaming even bigger — her goal is to specialize in zoology one day!

At home, her personal zoo is pretty impressive too:
🐶 Bjorn – a 115lb Cane Corso and certified gentle giant
🐶 Delilah – her sweet rescue pittie and loyal hiking buddy
🐱 Artemis, Atlas & Posey – her trio of fabulous felines (you’ve probably seen Posey strike a pose on our page before!)
🦎 Oliver, Snoodle, and Zilla – her scaley small friends

When she’s not at the clinic or hitting the books, you’ll find Hope:

🌲 Exploring nature trails
📖 Getting lost in a good book

🐾🐶 Meet Rhyme – The Clinic’s Third Receptionist! 🐶🐾

Say hello to Rhyme, a 7-year-old Border Collie with a big heart and an even bigger tail wag! She's the second oldest of five Border Collies in Emily’s busy household and around here, she’s earned the title of our “third receptionist” — and takes it very seriously. 😉

Rhyme absolutely loves greeting everyone who walks through the door — but she has a special soft spot for our feline visitors. You’ll often see her making the rounds, checking in on patients, and offering a calming presence, especially to nervous puppies in the exam rooms.

Born in Belgium, Rhyme made her journey to the U.S. at just 4 months old and has been charming hearts ever since!

When she’s off the clock, Rhyme enjoys:
🐾 Neighborhood walks
🚗 Running errands with her Poppa, Patrick
🥏Showing off her frisbee skills in the backyard
❤️ She’s always up for an adventure — or a good cuddle session.

Whether she's boosting puppy confidence, giving the warmest welcomes, or just being her sweet, steady self, Rhyme is truly a treasured part of our clinic family.

We wanted to let you know that our clinic will be closed for the rest of today, effective immediately, due to some unforeseen circumstances.
