Happy Halloween from Texas Rustlers!

10/26/2026

Three little piggies went to the pumpkin patch… 🎃🐹

Except the pumpkin is a bell pepper.
It’s stuffed with hay.
And occasionally someone starts a fight over it. 😂

Just a perfectly normal spooky season at Texas Rustlers. 👻

🎃 Who do you think won the great pepper tug-of-war?

Oh, don’t be ridiculous, Andrea. 💅🐰

When you have absolutely no plans, no responsibilities, and nowhere else to be. 😂

Honestly? We could all learn something from this level of relaxation.

Who ya gonna call? 👻🐹🐰🎃

Apparently… a bunch of guinea pigs and bunnies with a VERY serious commitment to Halloween. 😂

The costumes. The poses. The tiny faces.
Absolutely no notes. 👻🕷️🎃

Which little trick-or-treater is your favorite?! Tell us below! 👇

🎤 We decided it was time to hear directly from the experts.

We asked the guinea pigs the hard-hitting questions:

Their answers were thoughtful. Insightful. Occasionally just WHEEEEEEK.

And a few respondents attempted to eat the microphone. 🎤😂

We’ll consider that a positive review.

The teeth check: completely routine.
The patient: absolutely DEVASTATED. 🎭🐹😂

Our little lethal white sanctuary foster needs regular teeth checks as part of her ongoing care — and apparently today’s examination required a full dramatic performance.

We promise: no guinea pigs were harmed in the making of this Reel. 😂 She simply decided lying dramatically backward was the appropriate response to this terrible injustice.

This is also a little glimpse into sanctuary fostering. ❤️ Some animals with ongoing medical or special needs live with experienced fosters rather than at the rescue, where they can receive the regular monitoring, medications and hands-on care they need.

And sometimes that includes checking teeth while your patient acts like you’ve ruined her entire life. 😂🐹

Tiny patient. Big care. 🐹❤️

Even the littlest animals sometimes need a little extra help.

Whether it’s a hamster, guinea pig, or bunny, when an animal in our care needs medical attention, we’re here to make sure they get the treatment, medication, and TLC they need. 💊❤️

This little hamster may be tiny, but their care matters just as much. 🥹

$31,000. 😭💙

We honestly don’t have the words.

To every single person who donated during Early Giving and North Texas Giving Day, THANK YOU.

To everyone who shared our posts, told your friends, tagged people, commented, reposted, and helped introduce Texas Rustlers to thousands of new people — THANK YOU.

Together, you raised an incredible $31,000 for Texas Rustlers. 🐹🐰❤️

And now, we move forward.

We have a new home to find and a future to build — one where we can continue taking in animals who need us, giving them the care they deserve, and helping them find the second chances and forever homes they’ve been waiting for.

There is still a lot of work ahead of us, but because of you, we are $31,000 closer.

Whether you donated $5 or $500, shared one post or twenty, or simply helped someone new discover our rescue — you were part of this.

From every human and furry face at Texas Rustlers: thank you for showing up for us. 💙

Our next chapter starts now. 🏡🐹🐰❤️
