Help keep your pets safe this summer with these cool tips!💦

As the heat just keeps getting hotter it is vital to make sure pets have access to fresh water!

Shade offers much-needed protection from direct sunlight! But even with adequate shade, make sure your pet is not kept outside too long.

Test the asphalt before you walk! Press the back of your hand against the sidewalk for 7 seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your pet!!

Don't shave your pets!! Pet fur offers protection against sunburns and can actually help regulate body temperature! Especially for breeds like German Shepherds or Golden Retrievers.

Limit outdoor exercise! Even on cooler surfaces like grass, too much time outside can be dangerous for pets in the summer. Always offer water and shade while outside and keep potty breaks brief!
