Today sucked.

I want to share something embarrassing and difficult, because transparency and honesty with my clients are incredibly important to me.
Unfortunately, during a groom today, I accidentally nicked a dog and the injury required veterinary care. As a groomer, this is one of the things we always hope never happens, but the reality is that accidents can happen, even when we are being as careful and diligent as possible.

The most important thing to me in a moment like this is always the wellbeing of your pet. I immediately made sure the client’s dog received the veterinary attention they needed. I cover all costs related to any injury caused by grooming, as well as not charging you for the groom, because your pet’s safety and care are my responsibility and ultimately I failed in that aspect.

I am incredibly grateful to Riverview Animal Clinic for fitting this pup in and providing care promptly, especially when they were already extremely busy today. Their compassion and willingness to help meant so much to me.

I never want an accident like this to happen, and I take every incident seriously. I continually do everything in my power to provide a safe, careful, and loving grooming experience for every pet who comes through my doors. When something unexpected does happen, however, I believe the right thing is to be honest, take responsibility, and make sure the pet gets the care they need.

Thank you to my clients for trusting me with your beloved family members. I don't take that trust lightly. ❤️🐾

Hi everyone! My son, Landon (designated salon dog snuggler for the summer) has gone back to school! Just a reminder for prompt pick-up of your doggies, my first job is being a mom and I need to be able to be there to pick him up from school. I appreciate how great everyone has been about this summer!

I hope everyone has had an amazing summer, we’re ready for fall around here though..the smoke is too much. 💕🐾

As of today I am no longer accepting new clients. I have had 13 no shows in the past couple of weeks, and 12 of them were new clients.

I know a ton of people are trying to find a new groomer due to a few local ones closing down…but please respect everyone’s time. If you get in somewhere else don’t forget to cancel any other appointments that you made with other groomers. It’s wasting everyone’s times and quite frankly, it’s just rude.

Sometimes grooms don’t end up perfect. When training puppies sometimes less is more so that they don’t get overwhelmed. And sometimes that means there may be some stray hairs. I would rather not push them and make them terrified of grooming. We work through the wiggles 😉

But even without perfection, this baby will sure feel better in the summer heat now that he’s had his first haircut. ❤️🐾

Great advice for the upcoming holiday.

A few simple steps can help make the 4th of July safer and more comfortable for your pets! Keep them indoors during fireworks, set up a quiet space, and make sure their ID tags and microchips are up to date. Planning ahead with medications, earlier walks, and no table scraps can also help reduce stress. 🐾❤️

Goodbyes are hard…But knowing that these dogs are going to do amazing things and keep people safe makes it easier. It’s an honor to groom the service dogs from Bowen Elite Service Dogs and get to know them before they go on to their forever families. Good boy Archie!!! Safe travels furry friend. 💕🐾

School’s out for summer!!!

I generally schedule my work day around dropping off and picking up my kiddo from school, so now that school is out I am more flexible with my hours. I am also getting quite a few no-shows unfortunately. Please let me know if you need me to check when your appointment is! And I have been getting occasional cancellations so if you want to get on my list to get in sooner please let me know and I’ll call you in sooner if I get an opening.

And just a quick reminder that I am still not available on weekends…any calls or messages will be returned on Monday if you call on a weekend. 😊

Hi guys! The sun has been shining and it’s so beautiful out!! 😎☀️

Warmer weather brings bugs though, and the mild winter didn’t help in that sense. Please discuss preventative options with your veterinarian to keep your dogs safe from fleas and ticks. I am extremely strict on my “bug free” rule to keep my pets and my clients pets safe.

Side note: I’m on a social media break on my personal pages. I know some of you contact me through them so I still have them active…I’m just not checking them often so responses might be delayed. Calling or texting my phone number is the quickest way to reach me. 🐾❤️
