Hi guys! The sun has been shining and it’s so beautiful out!! 😎☀️

Warmer weather brings bugs though, and the mild winter didn’t help in that sense. Please discuss preventative options with your veterinarian to keep your dogs safe from fleas and ticks. I am extremely strict on my “bug free” rule to keep my pets and my clients pets safe.

Side note: I’m on a social media break on my personal pages. I know some of you contact me through them so I still have them active…I’m just not checking them often so responses might be delayed. Calling or texting my phone number is the quickest way to reach me. 🐾❤️

So many new faces around here! I am so grateful for the referrals. 💕 I am at capacity for larger breeds, and I am only able to take a couple more new clients for small dogs and then I’ll be closing my books to anyone new. Thank you for the support and letting me love your puppies!! 🐾❤️

Let’s talk shedding…
This was one lab, just a bath and blow dry…hadn’t even done the full brush out yet!
One small, very sweet, white lab. One that is groomed extremely regularly. She’s an absolute angel for her grooming appointment, and we make a MESS of the salon.

It’s so satisfying sending a dog home with that much less hair to shed…but I’m going to be honest and tell you that this dog will just go home and still shed. I do what I can in the couple of hours that I have her, but quite frankly I could brush her until she’s bald (and even then, somehow she would still sprinkle fur everywhere 😂)

A de-shed treatment on a double coated dog such as a husky, australian shepherd, border collie, pomeranian, etc…is so much more effective because they’re blowing out their coat seasonally. You can see and feel a drastic difference in their fur and the amount of shedding in your home is reduced by a ton!

….thats not the case with short haired dogs, its usually constant. Short hair doesn’t necessarily mean less shedding, sometimes it actually means more!

Either way, I’m glad I can leave the mess here for you and help even a little bit. 💕🐾

This is the slowest time of year for most groomers, the lull right before spring hits. Most of us that are booked solid for months at a time actually have a few appointments open here and there. If you forgot to book your next appointment and need to get in last minute, now is the time! If my schedule can’t accommodate you I do know of a few great groomers that I can point you in the direction of. 🐾💕

Also, don’t forget as we come into spring to make sure that you’re discussing flea and tick preventative options with your veterinarian!

At my salon, I specialize in one-on-one grooming, meaning your pup is the only dog that I’m working on during their appointment. Here’s what that means for you and your furry family member:

🐶 Benefits:
• Less stress and anxiety for your dog
• No loud, chaotic environment
• Full attention on your pet’s needs
• Safer for nervous, senior, or reactive dogs
• Slower pace = gentler grooming experience
• Stronger bond and trust with your groomer
•Strict on vaccine requirements. I make sure your pet is as protected as possible while they’re here.

⚠️ Drawbacks:
• Appointments can take a little longer
• Fewer slots available per day
• May cost slightly more than high-volume salons
•Clients with multiple dogs have to plan on their dogs being here quite a while longer.
•You must be available to pick up your dog promptly. (I do not let dogs mingle or run free throughout the salon, and I’m limited on kennel space…I cannot be doggy daycare)

For many pups, the calm, quiet environment makes all the difference. One-on-one grooming isn’t for every client, I get that some people want a rushed groom and a lower price, and that’s ok…Some larger salons have one groomer wash, another dry, and another groomer do the haircut. That is absolutely great and definitely speeds up the process, but that’s not how I operate. I’m a very small business and I am the bather, dryer, groomer, secretary, and cleanup crew all in one.

Because your dog deserves more than just a haircut — they deserve care, patience, and peace. 🐾❤️

Quite a few first time grooms for puppies lately! Getting them started young (as soon as they’ve had at least 2 of their series of shots) is crucial in setting them up for success. Grooming is scary and it takes quite a bit of patience and positivity to work them through that fear. They have a lifetime of grooming ahead of them. 💕🐾
