🐱💙 Happy National Cat Day! 🐾🎉

Today, we’re giving a little extra love to the two very important feline friends, Fred and Daphne, who call our facility home! 🐈🐈‍⬛💕

While our puppies are busy learning the skills they’ll need to become future service dogs, our resident cats play an important role in their training, too! 🎓🐶

Through safe, supervised exposure to cats, our dogs in training learn to stay calm, remain focused, and practice self-control around other animals. These experiences help prepare them for the variety of sights, sounds, and furry friends they may encounter out in the real world! 🐕‍🦺✨

So, today, we’re celebrating our kitties for being more than just adorable facility residents—they’re important members of our training team! 🐾❤️

Let’s show our feline friends some love! Are you a cat person, a dog person, or BOTH? 😻👇

🎃🦃🎄 Training Tuesday: Holiday Edition! 🐾

Halloween decorations, Thanksgiving displays, and Christmas animatronics, oh my! 👀✨ Our puppies are getting ready for the holiday season by learning to stay calm and confident around all the festive sights, sounds, and MOVEMENTS they might encounter!

These experiences help our future service dogs learn that not everything that moves or makes noise is something to worry about. 🐶💙

Building confidence one holiday decoration at a time helps prepare our pups for the real world and their future roles supporting our Veterans! 🐕‍🦺

Be honest… which holiday animatronic would make YOU jump? 😂👇

🐾💙 Meet the Dog Monday: Introducing Bean!🐶

Meet our sweet girl, Bean! 💕 Bean is a retired service dog who now enjoys life right here at our facility. After spending time doing important work, she’s earned a well-deserved chance to relax, enjoy the little things, and soak up all the love around her. 🐾🥰

Once a working dog, always a special part of the family! Bean reminds us that every chapter of a service dog’s journey is worth celebrating. We’re so happy to have this sweet girl with us! 💙🐕‍🦺

🐾🎓 Training Tuesday with Kent! 💙🐶

Learning the basics in a familiar environment is one thing, but practicing those skills out in public is where the real work begins! 🐕‍🦺✨

Kent is out and about, working on her basic obedience skills while learning to stay focused, follow commands, and remain calm around new sights, sounds, and distractions. Every outing is another opportunity to learn and grow on her journey toward becoming a future service dog for a Veteran! ❤️

What basic obedience command do you think is the most important for a service dog to master? 👇🐾

Overcast skies? Not a problem for Jeffry! 🌥️ This pup knows exactly what he wants, and a long walk is at the top of his list! 🐕💨 Rain or shine, Jeffry is ready to get outside, explore, and make the most of his day. 🌿🐾

We love seeing our dogs show off their unique personalities as they continue their journeys toward becoming future service dogs for Veterans! 🇺🇸❤️

Is your dog a fair-weather walker, or are they ready to go rain or shine like Jeffry? 👇🐶
