Grief- it’s what’s on our minds. A long time client recently made the difficult decision that it was time for his 18 year old dog. The efforts this man made were huge to ensure the comfort of his loved companion. The wonderful part is that he got 18 long years with amazing medical care and management. The terrible part is that now he faces a life without his longtime companion. Our pets extended lives that we now enjoy- has a sharp edge as we navigate an even greater loss. They are in our lives for so long, their loss is unthinkable.
We are working on support lists to help clients in their grief. Anyone with great resources locally- please reach out, we would love to be able to offer clients professionals to help and ideas for coping. Advanced medical care is a gift but it costs financially, mentally and emotionally. We are all thinking of all of our friends that have crossed over and the families they left behind.
