Hey friends — I know I haven’t posted much lately, but now is not the time to be quiet. It’s time to take a stand for what is right.

My name is Bastian, owner of Blue Paws Dog Training and Pet Care. I service the Lawrence, Ottawa, and surrounding areas. As many of you know, I am a disabled, q***r, trans man, and these parts of who I am shape my life, my values, and my business every single day.

I had the absolute privilege of spending the past few weeks with this gentle giant — everyone meet Walter! 🐾❤️

Believe it or not, Walter is still a puppy! He stayed with us for a two-week board and train, and we’ve got some follow-up sessions lined up to keep up his amazing progress.

With every board and train program, you get three one-hour private lessons included — because training doesn’t stop when they go home!

Walter had a blast on all his adventures — from the Lawrence Farmers Market, to streamlinecoffee, to hanging out on The Burger Stand at The Casbah patio, and so much more!

It’s pup cup time!!! 🐶☕️

Everyone meet Philip — Lawrence’s brother! Philip got to go on a special field trip today to work on some of his training. We stopped by one of our favorite spots, streamlinecoffee, for a treat and some practice. 🐾💙

Lawrence is one of my regulars, and we’ve been working on his loose leash walking — he’s doing an amazing job (especially when his brother isn’t around… we’re still a work in progress there! 😆).

Blue Paws will be in the Lawrence Pride parade June 7th. If any current or past clients would like to walk with us please let me know! (If you’d like your dog to walk but you can’t not we may be able to walk them but you will need to pick up and drop them off)
