This (Dog) was Found in (Hart County ) on (4/4/25) If you are the animal’s owner (Or you have any information on the animal) , please bring proof of ownership (Photo) to reclaim. The stray hold is up in 5 business days in which case the animal becomes legal property of Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter and can be adopted or rescued.

The stray hold is 5 business days, which allows owners a reasonable amount of time to come looking for their pets. There is a reclaim fee that covers the vaccinations the animal received on intake and the “boarding” cost. The fee varies depending upon the length of stay.

Don’t Shop ~ Adopt 🐾

It's a puppy-palooza at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter! 30+ puppies under the age of 6 months with an adoption fee of $100.

The shelter has seen an unusually large number of puppy intakes this early in the year. They have to get these pups moved out to accommodate for the inevitable increase in litter this Spring.

Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter is open for visit today 11am-4pm at 870 Bear Creek Road, Lavonia, GA.

Please ensure if you are getting a puppy, you fix said puppy to not add to the pet overpopulation issue! Please ensure your puppy gets all booster vaccinations to prevent themselves and others from catching the deadly parvovirus.
