It is with tremendous sadness I must announce the passing of our sweet Luna. Under the amazing care of the vets and staff at Gulf Coast Equine and Auburn University, and after fighting so hard for her, and her for us, she is now at peace. We laid her to rest in our pasture, where she will always be close.

I will make a longer post, to share more about Luna and how special she was to so many at GHE, on a day when it’s not so fresh.

Run free and jump big sticks LuLu, we all love you so much and you will be forever missed.

As we embark on another horse show adventure to our favorite show venue, I wanted to share about our last trip to Chatt Hills!

We took another small crew to our last show, with only 2 students and one investment horse!

Samantha Smith and GHE Lunar Eclipse

Sam and Luna had a rough start to the week with Luna being a little surprised by the vast and beautiful scenery, coupled with incredibly strong winds(knocking over jumps strong!) and we actually decided to scratch our first day of showing. Friday-Sunday however was a different story! The pair found their stride and took on the .80 and .85 divisions! A few knocked rails, time faults and fierce competition kept them out of most of the ribbons, but they did manage to place in their .85 classic on Sunday! This was their first recognized event and move up to higher jumps and we couldn’t be more proud of them! The sky is the limit for Sam and Luna! Keep an eye out for their next show!

Lakota Addington and Windsor Knot

Lakota also moved up to in division taking on her first 2’3” division! Again faced with fierce competition, she held her own and took all losses in stride. Sunday was her day where her and Tye had better communication and she placed well in all her classes, including her Classic as well!

GHE Little Fox aka Prim

Prim’s first outing with us went pretty well! She’s a bit of a nervous little horse, and this show was just about getting her off property to gain some experience before we put the pressure of showing on her! She is coming with us again this weekend and hope to get her in the ring!

This weekend we have a bigger crew attending and are excited for a fun weekend with laughter, memories and if we’re fortunate enough, maybe bring home some ribbons! Stay tuned! Until then, please enjoy some photos from last horse show!

Yesterday we had our first quarterly Level Up and Rider Appreciation party! We had 5 riders promote to the next level(not all promoting students were able to make it!) and everyone rode their horses around ba****ck! We wouldn’t be where we are without our amazing students and their families! Thank you for being a part of the GHE family! I promise to get more pics next time!

Hi, my name is Marissa and I’m terrible at making posts on social media for my business! 🙋🏼‍♀️

We have some new, kinda new, and not new faces to introduce and I decided to put them all in one post!

First I’d like to announce that Missy is officially a part of the GHE family! Missy came in as a boarder/ consignment horse last year and we all fell in love with her! She was sold to us and now carries our beginner kids around! As a senior horse, we’re happy to offer Missy a home to finish her life in, and hope we have many more years to enjoy this sweet mare!

Second, please welcome Prim! We brought her in on trial under the name Sioux, but as we learned her personality and saw how dainty and cute she was, after we bought her we decided to rename her Prim! Be on the lookout for her sale ad in the coming months!

Lastly, our newest face to the GHE family is Cora! Cora is an older mare that came to us recently! We’re not sure where sweet Cora will end up, but we’re going to do our best to help her figure that out. Whether that be to a loving forever home, or staying here with us! Either way, she’s a part of the fam now!

A small group of the GHE gang went to the SWDEA Combined Trainging show in Tallahassee to shake the dust off and have a little fun before the 2026 show season!

Sydnie and DB Ode to Echo (Annie) made thier horse show debut both as a team and ever for young Annie! Sydnie is a 3 Day Eventer equestrian and took Annie into her first Intro Dressage tests! She scored well in both her tests and above all, Annie showed us that she likes this horse show thing! We can't wait for their next event!

Randee and Winning Day (Winnie) also played in the dressage ring for a few tests and had nice scores as well. The pair then moved to the jumping portion and placed in all their classes, including earning Champion in the 2'9" division!

Sam and GHE Lunar Eclipse(Luna) competed in the 2'3" and 2'6" and placed in all their classes as well! Luna and Sam continue to grow as a team and we're excited for their future shows!

Penny and Windsor Knot(Tye) and Nicholas and GHE Lunar Eclipse competed in the ground poles division and both did so incredible! Showing two point over their poles and maintaining proper position throughout their courses! Plus they both look so cute! We love having our horses that can go from the fast paced jumping classes, to carrying our kiddos around the ground poles! Thank you Tye and Luna for taking care of our kids! Best horses ever
