The Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (GVHS) is accepting resumes for the position of Executive Director (ED).
The Executive Director serves as a key leadership position within the Society, working closely with the Board of Directors, committees, staff, members, and affiliates to support the mission, growth, and long-term success of GVHS.
We are seeking an organized, professional, team-oriented individual with strong leadership, communication, administrative, and technology skills.
Responsibilities may include:
• Providing leadership and support for the Society's daily operations
• Working closely with the Board of Directors to implement strategic goals and initiatives
• Member communication and support
• Email and phone correspondence
• Oversight of registrations, transfers, and membership services
• Website, social media, and communication coordinator
• Committee support and project management
• Administrative record maintenance and organizational compliance
• Annual Convention planning and coordination
• Supporting international affiliates, educational programs, and member outreach
• Assisting with sponsorship, fundraising, and partnership opportunities
The ideal candidate must possess:
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong grammar, spelling, and professionalism
• Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, committees, staff, and members
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, databases, spreadsheets, email management, and online communication platforms
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities
• Nonprofit, registry, equine, association management, or administrative experience preferred
• Experience working with volunteer boards is a plus
