Prayers please for Bubba šš©µš¾š¾š©µšā¦ this little rescue Frenchie has been through a lot. I donāt know his entire backstory, as he was turned in to another shelter to be euthanized because the owner said they could no longer care for himā¦ then Bubba came to me. Very emaciated missing both of his eyes. He had ear infections nails were a little bit overgrown his skin condition and coat condition is poorā¦. And heās drinking a ton of water and urinating a tonā¦.. so of course to the veterinarians we go, did bloodwork which was inconclusive so I made an appointment for today and I dropped him off at the wonderful K. Vet Animal Care with Dr Hougentogler to do ultrasound on his abdomenā¦ and of course do more bloodworkā¦ all the tests completed today were sent out to specialty clinics for second opinions..
I wanna thank Dr. Hougentogler for being so patient and kind and explaining everything to meā¦ļæ¼ we donāt have a conclusive diagnosis as of yet, but preliminary findings could possibly indicate several different issues.
1. Bubba could possibly have Cushingās disease
2. ļæ¼ His stomach lining and intestinal linings are extremely thickened and could be indicative of chronic inflammation.
3. ļæ¼ the thickening of his stomach wall and intestinal track could also be indicative of cancer, although no tumors were detected, but cannot be rolled out of cancerous tissue.
4. ļæ¼ Bubba could have all three of these afflictions and possibly something else.
ļæ¼ so now itās a waiting game to hear back from the specialty clinics to see what they might have found and also to see what the blood work showsā¦
